The formula is supposed to have a black base and "intense color changes" that are best applied with fingertip or a dry brush, as they are "very pigmented and smooth." The brand recommends not to blend them too much to "preserve the extreme multichrome shift."

The blackened base was noticeable, but often, it wasn't quite as dark or as intense as I've experienced with other black-base multichromes, so they were a little more forgiving if one blended them out a little too much. Most of the shades lived up to the "extreme" part of the shift, too!

They were richly pigmented with a soft, smooth consistency that was lightly emollient but not too thick or too densely-packed into the pan, so it was easy to pick up product with a dry brush as well as fingertips/dampened brushes if preferred. The eyeshadow applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. They lasted between seven and eight hours on me before creasing visibly.

Claims / Ingredients

At first glance, these shadows appear to be one color in the pan however multichromes are expensive pigments that shift colors depending on the lighting. They have black bases which is what allows for the intense color changes, however we suggest to avoid blending them to preserve the extreme multichrome shift. Our shadows are very pigmented and smooth. You can apply these to your lids using your finger or a dry brush. If you want to intensify the multichrome finish, use a setting spray to wet your brush before applying.

This is a fun shade, mostly a golden-pink shift on my skin tone. The formula is not quite flakie, but is less smooth than many of the Terra Moons shimmers and multichromes, which I enjoy a lot. I feel it gives a few more options for applying and building the color, but is more likely to go on quite pigmented (especially with a finger). The colors in it a bit more muted, so I like wearing it with more muted mattes like mustard or a berry. It can get a little thick/foiled, so other hooded eye or oily lid wearers should do your routine to avoid creasing long term. I did receive mine around the same time as another order and found a functional dupe with MBA Cosmetics Dream Chasers, it is also a golden-pink primarily shifting shadow.
