Editor's Review

The formula is supposed to be "pigmented" with "one stroke" application that is "waterproof" and lasts for "12 hours." I've been a long-time fan of the formula for its variety of shades that are typically pigmented, long-wearing, comfortable to apply, and easy to work with--they aren't too tough to remove nor do they take too long (or dry down too quickly) to dry. The matte shades tend to be the best, while the shimmery shades are good but can be semi-opaque at times. The glittery/sparkly shades have the most inconsistency, usually with respect to pigmentation. They tend to wear around 10 hours on me.

Great color but I got itchy skin and red patches all the times I tried it. Choose a higher quality product.

This is a really nice change from black, which can be harsh, or my typical bronzey/brown shades. Pigmented, long wearing and really eye-enhancing. I've probably got close to a dozen different shades of Sephora's Contour Pencils and I love them all. They are such good quality (I find them far better than most of those from Urban Decay) and the price is really unbelievably good. I'm not wild about having to sharpen these but if I pop them into the freezer for 5 minutes, it's easy to do without damaging the product.

I got a sample of this with a Sephora order and really liked how easy it applied and stayed put. It is described on Sephora as a Black Green with sparkle. The sparkle is not too chunky which is a good thing. I purchased the full size I liked it so much to add zip to my lower lash line. Also used it to try to replicate Christines' eye look with Macs Havana eyeshadow in place of Snakebite which is discontinued. Looked great and wallet friendly.

My Boyfriend's Jeans is a cool blue eyeliner, with a slight pearly finish. In a thin layer it can look like plain black. I'm personally not too keen on the color and I think it will compliment very few people/looks. The pencil is soft to apply as eyeliner, but not soft enough for a perfect application all over the lids. Once applied on the lids, it dries quick so it's not very smudgeable. As eyeliner it stays on all day. Applied all over the lid, it smudges on my hooded lids. On the waterline it stays on 4-6 hours, than starts fading.

This color is the perfect matte warm brown for me (brunette, yellow toned light-medium - NC20-25). It helps me create a softer look for everyday make-up, compared to a black liner. The pencil is soft, but not soft enough to easily apply all over the lid (but it's possible). It's long lasting on the lids, but on the waterline will start to fade at the end of the day. It dries quite quick on the lids, not very smudgeable.

Go For a Ride is a cool dark green eyeliner, with a slight pearly finish. In a thin layer it can look like plain black. The color is quite nice and compliments specific make-up looks.

This is my latest purchase from Sephora's collection of Contour Eye Pencils. I must have 6 or 7 at least and I really like these (obviously). Flirting Game is a lovely slightly purple-leaning taupe. It reminds me of Cargo's Yukon eyeshadow but in pencil form. Great colour, great quality and great price.

I have them both so can attest to the fact that this is an absolute dupe for Marc Jacobs Brown(out) liner, which costs about 3 times as much for considerably less product. Cappuccino may not be as long lasting and does not apply quite as smoothly, nor is it waterline safe but considering the price, this is a really fabulous pencil and a fabulous value. It is such a pretty shade of brown - not red-toned - and the golden glitter in it is subtle and flattering.

This is probably my 6th or 7th Contour Eye Pencil purchase and I am loving it as much as I love the others I have from this line. The colour is a lovely green/gold that isn't too dark or intense and is a nice change from black or really dark brown liners. These pencils offer such great value and quality - they apply smoothly and wear well all day and into the night. I find them much more long lasting than UD's 24/7 liners at about half the price.

Galaxy Girl is a midnight blue/green shade with a blackened base to it - a fabulous liner for going out, parties, etc. Like all of the Sephora pencils I've tried from this collection, I am really happy with it. The glitter means it isn't waterline safe (this is printed in minuscule writing on the side of the pencil) but it is such a stunning colour worn as a liner and smudged under my lower lashes (though you do lose some of the shine provided by the glitter when you smudge it).

Yet another winning eye lining pencil from Sephora's own house brand. Sephora's site describes this as "jade" but it really is more an emerald/teal and it is just gorgeous and great quality. These pencils rival those costing twice as much and more from high end lines. They do need to be sharpened manually (the only thing about them that isn't perfect but a brief sojourn in the freezer helps make it easier). The colour assortment/selection is great and some are even waterline safe (though Sephora would be really wise to make this information available online with regard to each of the shades). For $12 CDN, you can't go wrong!

This is a review for Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof, marked as Exclusive. I'm putting this pencil review here because it is a contour eye pencil, just a different kind w/o category yet. - This was a mess to open. The tip broke instantly and smeared all over my hands. A deep cool toned navy liner, this was a SOB to deal with that I was hoping more from! After multiple tries sharpening it, I finally managed to get a point, not easy at all. :( Nearly a couple inches wasted, this then had to be used VERY delicately, as it would break again. It is opaque upon one pass, but subsequent strokes made a break through of silvery & gold fine glitter come through! Quite pretty, I like how it enhances both the green, blue, and gray, as well as gold flecks in my eye, and honestly wish it was a better quality because the color is beautiful. Where other navy-like liners fail, this is lovely. The incredibly tiny micro glitter adds a nice touch as well. Not so bad for $10, but I expect more from Sephora, especially when their others have been flawless for me. I would not buy it again as I'll use it much less than others, due to the wasteful sharpening aspect, but, because of that, I'm happy to use what there is. Returning A SINGLE pencil is so not worth it. Did I get a bad batch pencil? I don't know. I bought only one in this color so it's all I can go by. Good luck if you choose this! It really is a decent color. Also, it wears well, nearly staining. Removal was messy & a bit of a chore. :(

This is a review for Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof. I'm guessing to include this here, as I don't see a spot for anything but the regular Eye Contour. :) Baby Blues: This opened easily and stayed firm upon a smooth gel-like application that applied opaque on one swipe. The color is a beautiful shimmering frosty silver/baby blue/lilac with cool undertones. It lasted well, pigmentation wise, and really brightened up eyes! I love this color! Not only it is colorful enough to look beautiful alone, but also light enough for highlighting! The color seriously impressed me, and I've not a dupe for it. Yay! $10 Exclusive, it says. I RECOMMEND!!! I received this with the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayons, and though this is not like them, the color is totally unique from them, and I feel the quality is quite good for $10.

This is such an interesting, luminous shade of violet/purple. I thought I had all the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil shades I could possibly want til I saw this reviewed here by Christine. I think I got it the next day or possibly 2 days later. It is such an eye-brightening, interesting shade and the luminous, almost reflective finish really looks amazing. My experience with all these pencils has been really favourable and this wonderful shade is no exception. And the price is just the icing on the cake.

I am really loving these Sephora pencils. Tango Nights is a blackened purple with glitter (I don't know if Sephora makes matte pencils in this line but I am such a magpie that I am always drawn to the glittery ones). Like all the others I've purchased, I find this to be smooth to apply, longwearing but still smudgeable right after application and such good quality. My experience so far has been that you can't go wrong with these pencils as they offer great quality and a wonderful rainbow of colour selection at a really good price.

Sephora describes this as "peacock blue" which is a pretty good descriptions for this beautiful blue green liner with a glittery look. I got this instead of the MUFE limited edition liner that came out in Summer 2013 because the price was so much better and the product was every bit as good and the colour irresistible. Not recommended for the waterline because of the glitter), nevertheless, this is SUCH a beautiful deep teal and slightly blackened blue.

I've got 4 or 5 Sephora contour pencil liners and can't get over how good these are at such a reasonable price. I think Driving in Malaysia is probably my favourite just because it's a great every day basic shade. The bit of glitter in it (which means it isn't water-line friendly) makes it a bit special and give a bit of interest that a flat dark brown pencil wouldn't have.
