The formula is supposed to go on "smoothly, stay soft and super-creamy for blending" before it "dries to a long-lasting finish that won't budge" with "intense" coverage. They also wear away "kindly," so while the line might get thinner, it doesn't drag or bleed toward my under eye area. The formula has solid, long-wear at eight to 10 hours before fading, thinning, or having a bit of migration to the outer corner. The less shimmery shades tend to have the most visible movement, whereas the more shimmery shades tend to fade or thin.

The pigmentation varies a lot from shade to shade with more matte shades often having the most coverage in a single layer, followed by more metallic finishes. The more glittery the finish, the weaker the coverage and application were. Many of the shades in the range are buildable and apply with near-to or opaque coverage when applied in short, overlapping strokes. The majority are very comfortable to apply on the lower lash line or waterline.

They have a creamy, glide-on consistency as promised, and they can be smudged or blended out, so they are particularly useful for someone who likes a more diffused look for their eyeliner.

As someone who has had a lot of these eyeliners over time, I can attest to the fact that they do not dry out readily. Some of the shades I have that I don't use (because they're THAT old) are still creamy and glide-on when swatched.

I have been looking for a good dupe for my beloved MAC Undercurrent, and this may be it. 10+ hours staying power and no transfer to my upper eyelid.

I used the dupe chart to pick a shade comparable to my favorite discontinued eye line/shadow pencil. My score is based on color match to 29/39 Sephora Boyfriends Jeans Colorful Eyeliner Pencil/Crayon. I purchased Urban Decay Chaos with high hopes. Although it is a very pretty bright blue it is not the same knock your socks off bright Cobalt-Purple Sephora color. I will try the product, try not to compare and give the Urban Decay my best objective opinion in a future review. It is very pretty!

Literally my favorite liner shade of all time, but it does move around a bit during the day, especially on the inner corner upper lash line. On me, what was a crisp line will blur out a bit (I'm not sure whether to call this migration or smudging, so I chose migration, because smudging for me means transfer to the lower lash line or the brow bone, which this does not do--the line just moves a little and becomes less defined).

I was so glad to get this pencil liner when it was released with the Game of Thrones collection. I'd been waiting for a liner this colour for years. I only wish UD could make this shade (perhaps with a new name for copyright issues) permanent. It looks gorgeous with my dark brown eyes and the pencil itself is creamy smooth and long-wearing. It totally lights up my whole face because of how it illuminates my lower lash line or inner corners.

Creamy, blendable, doesn't quite set, better for a lived in look than a precise one. Tiny glitter that doesn't leave much impression unless you're very close.

Funnily enough, this looks like a dark purple on me, instead of a red. It is very pigmented and creamy, so you don't have to tug at your skin, and it stays really well on my eye and pretty well in my water- and tightline. It also really brings out the green in my eyes. My only problem with it is that the formula seemingly makes it impossible to sharpen it into a really sharp point for me.

I purchased the UD 24/7 liner "vault," so I've been able to try every shade of this line. Invasion is one of the very few in the range that transfers to my brow bone during wear when applied to the upper lash line. And transfer happens even if I wear eyeshadow on my brow bone in an attempt to curb transfer. Therefore I recommend using this shade either blended out, or as an intensifying base under powder eyeshadow. The transfer is very noticeable and unattractive with a liner this dark! Additionally, the transfer worsens throughout the day, so unfortunately I can't just do a one-time touch-up with a makeup wipe. A few more details about me - my lids are not abnormally oily; I have moderately deep-set, non-hooded eyes; transfer is highly unusual for me with shadow/liner in general; and finally, I do not typically experience smudging with mascara (so I don't need to use waterproof mascara daily). This is all to say the transfer for me was unexpected and quite disappointing for a moderate/high-end price-point product. 3 stars because the shade is stunning and I still find satisfying use of the product when blended out or used as a base.

Beautiful color, but it smudges to easily. It's a little too creamy.

It's a nice alternative to pitch black eyeliners. Although pretty pigmented the color has a slight sheen in it and a dark grey undertone, it applies easily and is easily bleandable. texture is pleasant on the skin and it lasts fairly long.

Perfect eye pencil to pair with the darker colors in the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette. Nice deep burgundy-cherry color, it applies easily and is easily bleandable. texture is pleasant on the skin and it lasts fairly long, easy to use also for tightlining to give the usual makeup-no-makeup look a nice warm twist.

Amazingly creamy, non-smudging, pigmented, beautiful shiva, does not budge! I’ve had it as an inner corner highlight, rubbed my eyes, it’s still there - high shine as ever. This warm platinum metallic is identical to Space Dust from the winter 2018 mini eyeliner Hex Remedy collection, in case you can’t get your hands on it!

Urban Decay Zero is a black that's not too black, enabling to create a slightly softer look. It's waterproof, stays on the waterline through the day. The pencil does not dry that quick; but if you want to smudge it, you have to be quick.

Perfect for my lower lash line-- gives definition but doesn't make my eye look droopy and isn't too harsh with my fair skin.

As is the way of teals this stains the skin lightly after wear. If that doesn't bother you it's an excellent, vibrant all day eyeliner.

The best eyeliner I ever tried, it last almost all day long, it's high pigmented and don't transfer to the waterline.

I use Perversion - my new favorite eyeliner for tightlining. I like the fact it has vitamin E oil and jojoba oil in it so i know I'm not damaging the roots of my lashes since I wear makeup 5 days a week for week minimum. Also it lasts all day long which is awesome! I don't have to use much to make my eyes pop.

I had big hopes for this because of all the rave reviews, but it ended smudging like all the other so-called waterproof long lasting eye liners. Shortly after applying I was starting to get it under my eyes. Daily I had to constantly wipe under my eyes to remove it, it gave me raccoon eyes. The only long lasting waterproof eyeliner is the Make up Forever Aqua eyes. That stuff seriously doesn't move!

This eyeliner is my go to! Although it's my first from UD, I'll be getting more. The color and texture is so wonderful. It's a great alternative to black or brown because it helps wake up my hazel eyes. It blends very well and stays in place throughout the day. The color is perfect for a neutral/light eye or using it heavily for a darker look. It doesn't overpower my very pale skin if I'm just wearing eyeliner and mascara (too dark of black looks unnatural on me). I can imagine it would look gorgeous on someone very tan as well!

I own so many 24/7 pencils, and I often wonder WHY I keep buying them when I don't care much for any of them, to be quite honest. I strongly prefer MAC's Chromographic Pencil in Black Black over Perversion. I detest the way the glittery, shimmery pencils refuse to leave any color on my water line. I find myself screaming in a histrionic rage at these stupid metal caps that fall off constantly, either ruining my pencils, or just annoying me by forcing me to retrieve lost caps off the floor after they roll under my bed because I was silly enough to place the cap on the back-end of the pencil AGAIN, just as I do with all my pencils. I have asked myself a thousand times, WHY OH WHY ARE THESE THINGS SO POPULAR?!? because of all of my frustration and disappointment, and for $20 a pencil, I ought to be squealing with excitement over them every single time. And then it happened. CHAOS came into my life, and made all the 24/7 hype make sense. This has to be the most amazing eye pencil I have ever owned. Vibrant, beautiful, sexy. It glides on (as advertised) with great ease and comfort. It is easy to flip into a lovely and flawless sharp-tailed wing, which is no simple feat with the average pencil. I cannot say enough about how deeply I adore this pencil. Now, I am desperate to complete my 24/7 collection of MATTE shades specifically, as well as a few of the brighter shimmer shades that make me feel all warm and fuzzy just to look at online. I can only hope even one of the other pencils I'll be buying is half as awesome as CHAOS is. LOVE LOVE LOVE.... LOVE.

The only one 24/7 pencil that doesn't want to stay in place. Every other that I own is truly long-wearing and this one migrates like crazy ! But as the color is so pretty, it is worth the maintenance.

I have several Urban Decay eye pencils and I generally love them. Flipside, for whatever reason, does not live up to the reputation of the rest of the line. I bought it for the color, but it's so hard for me to get any color payoff from this one that it wasn't at all worth it. It tugs and skips during application, so it takes a couple of passes to get an adequate line. Sadly, it's a overall disappointment.

Warm toned brown that is terrific for a natural look and is very blendable, although it stays where it's put all day!! Easy to apply and does not tug, best applied in short strokes to get the most color deposit.

1999 is a lighter, slightly redder purple than Rockstar, plus an added glitter. It's a great color and looks awesome for a little while, but even with primer and a shadow set this stuff migrates almost immediately on my eyes. If you don't have oily eyelids like I do you'll probably have better luck with this than me.

Stash is an amazing dark khaki green with a slight gold shimmer, it goes on so smoothly and blends well on application but once it's dried it sticks! For me, green eyed and pale, it's a great alternative to brown eyeliner which always tends to make me look like I've been crying.
