Sonia G Worker Three & Crease Two Brushes (Initial) Impressions & Reviews
Worker Three
Sonia G Worker Three Brush ($32.00) is designed to “pack, transition, and blend” eye products and is a “smaller version of the Worker Two.” It looks a bit like your typical eyeshadow shader brush for packing on product, but it has a much fuller body, which gives it a denser and firmer feel. The rounded, more dome-shaped edge is reminiscent of blending cult-favorites like MAC’s 217 but denser, firmer, and more efficient at diffusing and softening edges. It’s made out of Saikoho goat hair, which gave it a smooth, silky feel against my skin, and it felt soft in every direction.
The smaller shape makes it more functional for me and makes it a true, multi-tasking brush–it is fantastic at applying color to the inner corner, lid, or into the crease, and it makes quick work of placing and blending simultaneously. That fuller, more rounded shape is what makes me prefer it for applying color to the inner corner/tearduct area and diffusing upward toward my inner crease/brow bone as well as applying stronger color (especially chunkier shimmers) underneath my brow bone. I am greedy, though, because I’d like an even smaller one…
I’ll like buy one or two more of these in the next restock. As someone with a robust collection of equally-soft, equally-luxurious, and equally-functional brushes, I’ve been incredibly impressed by how many Sonia G brushes have become go-tos.

Crease Two
Sonia G Crease Two Brush ($34.00) is a medium-sized, tapered crease brush that comes to a stronger point but does fluff up a bit from its initial point, though it never fully rounds out. More tapered, noticeably pointed crease brushes are particularly good for distributing product into deeper creases or applying color precisely but diffuse color less quickly. The size is closer to the “standard” tapered crease brush in my experience, which I tend to use less often these days as I tend to reach for smaller crease brushes (even more precision) but like to use this style of brush without product to diffuse and blend any stubborn edges.
It was denser and held its shape better compared to other crease brushes I have that are similar in general shape/size (they are fluffier all around the top halves), which makes for better precision and control over the long haul. It does, however, pick up and apply a bit more product as a result, so I’ve learned to use a slightly lighter hand with it when working with more pigmented crease colors. The brush worked well for playing a transition shade into the crease area and blowing out the color quite a bit while still being able to concentrate color where wanted. The bristles are made out of Saikoho goat and were very soft and smooth against my skin but were still capable of really blending out product.
I have to say I love Sonia G brushes. I don’t like the thicker handles as much as the finer Pro series handles, but the brushes themselves are definitely my favourites. Sorry, Wayner, you’re now second ?
I’d agree on the thicker handles – they are pretty but I don’t prefer the thickness; I definitely prefer a more tapered handle, but the rest, sigh. I looked at all the brushes I washed last, and it was like… so many pearly red handles!
IKWYM, Wayne. My fingers are having (?sensory? and pain) issues, and I love the bigger handles. I only have 3 SGs (wow, can’t say that about the other SG…) but more are def in order.

I’ve only recently decided to invest in proper makeup brushes since the lower end ones I have aren’t cutting it. I’m excited to try Sonia G, especially considering how much you love them! I love the shape of those brushes , I have a lower end one with a similar shaped by Sonia Kushak and I use it all the time .

Worker Three is the only Sonia G brush I have. I love it but I really need something smaller for my mobile lid and inner corner. I await a Worker Four.

Which do you recommend for a smaller crease brush that you might use more? I’m also finding I enjoy the smaller ones, too. I read all the reviews and get a bit befuddled because it’s so hard to tell the different sizes/shapes in photos without a size reference. No fault of your lovely reviews; it’s just me being visually-spatially challenged. I have the Wayne Goss eye brushes and mostly use the smaller crease brush (don’t remember the number).
I like the Wayne Goss Brush 20 and Hakuhodo J5529BkSL (I use them interchangeably, Hakuhodo is cheaper but Beautylish has free shipping at $35)!
Oooo…I have the Wayne Goss 20 and have been neglecting it. I bought the set a while ago when I was first learning…haha. I just learned how to apply eyeshadow right after I had my son two years ago. Have a lot to still learn. Thank you for the tips!! I admire your abilities!
Lovely brushes brought by Sonia once again… I bought a few at the end of 2018 and shortly after another round. I tend to buy them by 3 haha.
I am really a fan of the handles too, red is my favourite colour too so that is a nice bonus! Haha
I think those two brushes will end up on my list for a future purchase. I was waiting for a small worker type of brush (I hope it will be as small as I need it to be 😉 ) and would benefit from a goat hair crease brush as I mostly have fluffy squirrel crease brushes and need more ‘power’ sometimes.

T-7 Medium Eye Shadow Brush has quickly become my preferred crease brush for placement and blending and my absolute favourite when using cream or liquid shadows. Its small size and precision makes it such a treat to use. I would like to invest in a few Sonia G Pro eye brushes and will add Worker 3 for consideration as well.
