Pat McGrath Interstellar Icon Celestial Divinity Luxe Eyeshadow Quad ($58.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that includes a sparkling peachy-gold with shift, sparkling navy blue with shift, pearly burgundy, and sparkling, bronzy-taupe. All four shades had a fair amount of sheen to them with Blue Blood being the least shimmery but still fairly reflective. All four shades had nearly opaque to opaque pigmentation, good longevity, and were easy to apply and to blend out, though there was light fallout working with Hypnotique.

Golden Polaris
Golden Polaris is a darker, peachy gold base with flecks of pink and gold sparkle throughout a more metallic finish. There was a stronger shift where it appeared more copper and the pink and gold sparkle came through more noticeably. The texture was soft, smooth, and lightly creamy but not as dense or as firmly-pressed in the pan as is typical for the brand.
It felt almost like a cross between the brand’s traditional shimmer shades and the Astral shades. The color payoff was opaque in a single layer, while it was blendable and wasn’t prone to fallout. This shade lasted nicely for nine and a half hours before fading visibly.

Pat McGrath's eyeshadows are, generally, supposed to be "super-saturated" with "creamy, soft textures" and "extreme blendability and adherence without creasing." A lot of how well they perform (and to some degree, how they are supposed to be applied and marketed) depends on the type of shades, but by and large, the eyeshadows perform very much as they are described.
The brand released single eyeshadows in March 2019, and the shades have been consistent in quality, look, and feel. They are not removable, unfortunately, so one would have to depot like any other single eyeshadow--I tried using tweezers and lifting on several shades to no avail. The lids are held closed by a weak magnet, so I'm not sure they're as secure as most single eyeshadow compacts in my stash--I wish it really locked in, but there's definitely a magnet that pulls the lid down if it's within 2mm of the base.
The mattes are velvety, blendable, and dense without being thick or too heavy, and they have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation where a little can go a long way with some of the deeper and richer hues. The satin and pearl finishes are smooth, lightly creamy, and firmer but not dense or thick with good pigmentation, blendability, and easy application. The more metallic finishes tend to be softer, creamy, and smooth with a bit more denseness and no powderiness. The sparkly/glittery shades are often designed to be applied wet for richer coverage or intensity, which has largely been my experience. Most of the shades last between eight and nine hours.

Hypnotique
Hypnotique is a medium, navy blue with strong, cool–almost violet–undertones and a sparkling, high-shine finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation applied dry as well as wet; I did not find one was better than the other for coverage but dampened application yielded less fallout during application and a smoother layer of product.
The texture was lightly emollient, almost wet to the touch, with good slip, so a lot of the sparkles applied and adhered to bare skin, though there was still a bit of fallout if I used a dry brush. It wore well for 10 hours with very little fallout over time.

Blue Blood
Blue Blood is a deep burgundy with warmer, brownish undertones and a shiny, metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that was easy to pick up and to apply to bare skin.
This shade has been previously released, so it is not a new shade, but the color and quality were consistent with past releases. It stayed on beautifully for 10 hours before fading slightly.

Divine Dahlia
Divine Dahlia is a very rich taupe with warmer, brown undertones and finer and larger sparkles that read greenish-gold and pink. The intense, metallic finish was sparkling, shiny, and rich. The consistency was soft, smooth, and creamy with full pigmentation achieved dry as well as wet. It lasted well for 10 hours before showing signs of fading.

This is the one quad that captured my eye. I already have Blue Blood in the mini palettes she came out with last holiday season. I’m not quite sure if it is worth for me to pick this up or merely look at possible dupes in my collection to achieve looks I could create with this.

This is the quad for me. No question; I am so getting this on Friday when I get paid. This is one of the very few palettes I could see myself hitting pan on every single shade,but especially Divine Dahlia and Golden Polaris with Hynotique coming in 3rd.
Divine Dahlia is the one that caught my eye in this quad!
That one and Golden Polaris more than make up for my decision to give up on TF First Frost. I could use just those 2, MAC Orb on the browbone, and have an almost “one ‘n done” eye look!
My ranking too! Divine Dahlia looks really unique, but the shift in Golden Polaris is also so interesting.
This one catches my eyes! That burgundy in particular. From looking at it in the pan, I wouldn’t have thought it would swatch so metallic. $25 is not bad, either.

This is beautiful and if there had been a dark taupe gray instead of the burgundy I might have bought it.
I like it with Blue Blood, but it seemed odd to have it repeated again!
This palette is the one I was most interested in and I was a little worried that it would be difficult to get a “lighter” look from it but your look is stunning. This actually puts it closer to the top of my planned purchases. I am having a hard time narrowing my choices this year as I am trying to maintain a budget, haha!

If you use a fluffy blender brush to apply Blue Blood, you can really control how deep you apply it. I was pleasantly surprised by that in the mini Eye Ecstasy palette I bought and used it enough that I bought this quad as well. It really works well with Divine Dahlia and Golden Polaris.
This is the quad I love the most from PMG’s new collection. I like how the shades complement each other so well and can be used in conjunction with others from my stash. In Australia the Mothership palettes sell for $195, the 6 pans for $118 and I don’t know about the quads, but I think they would be in the $80-90 mark.
So I will love from afar…unless they come on sale on Pat’s website.

I’m kind of interested in this one. But I already have Blue Blood in the little mini palette (perfect size for someone with a large collection). Though Divine Dahlia looks gorgeous and right up my alley.
I really want Blue Blood but not realy the other colors , maybe I’ll look out for it if she makes singles.
