Urban Decay Naked Metal Mania Palette is the newest iteration in the Naked range, and it was truly hilarious to see almost every single shimmer shade come shattered. A little too much headbanging, eh? That was Ulta’s fault for sure, since they just slipped it into a bubble envelope and sent it out.

I was relieved that UD Naked Metal Mania made it to me intact since Ulta’s packaging isn’t always reliable. As far as the palette itself, I wasn’t sure what to expect since UD releases have been more of a miss than a hit. But I have used it and I’m glad to say that I love it! It’s pigmented, easy to blend, and zero fallout. In my experience, the colors were even richer than your swatches, but I do use primer. Glad to be happy with a UD purchase again.

Too warm for me and I’m not a fan of the UD formula. Ulta has been really bad with packaging lately. The majority of my orders are also shipped in that bubble bag, including some larger orders that are shoved inside and arrive with crushed packaging, some broken items and the bag splitting on the side.

Ulta has been so bad with palettes lately I don’t want to buy from them unless it’s pickup at a store. Any soft formula gets smashed. They even put my Tom Ford perfume order in one of those bubble mailers and shipped it. Box was crushed, but the perfume was intact. Geez.

The same thing happened to me! I recently repurchased 3 travel size bottles of Mugler’s Alien and a moisturizer that comes in an overly large jar and Ulta crammed all 4 items into a bubble bag. It arrived with every box crushed and the caps of 2 bottles were off. The travel size had been out of stock everywhere for a year and I had been without it for a few months so I bought multiple thinking they would sell out again immediately and I was so angry when they arrived like they did bc they were only available online at the time and if they broke, I’d end up dealing with the same issue. I don’t understand why the warehouse staff thinks it’s acceptable to ship glass items like that

While UD has long lost most interest of mine, I’m always impressed at how things are shipped nowadays. Recently had a coffee mug come in bubble wrap inside polymailer & some straw cowboy hats rolled up like burritos & smashed flat that was also shipped in a polymailer. Impressive job on the shipping Ulta! Broken shadows to that extent is beyond impressive. And they will offer to replace, yet ship again the same way!

What is up with the name 🤔 Indie Sleaze?? I was super excited for a black in this amazing formula but from the looks of the lip swatch it’s a no go 😫 the others look promising as fitting in with the prior line amazing liq lipsticks. Plan on getting crushing for sure. I’m not liking the palette rather 😴😴😴

I really like the look of Crushing. I suspect I have duped for it though.
As for the palette, can I have a quad that includes Power Cord, Spike Stud, Scene and Road Crew. I really like those four shades, I probably have dupes. The first three are too warm, the first four shimmers look like shades I have about a dozen of and Heavy is lookin rather sad.
I do look forward to reviews.
Indie Sleaze could have been really great, I like the colour applied, but not the application, if that makes sense.

I swatched a few of the shimmers in person at Ulta, and I was pleasantly surprised. They reminded me more of the old UD formula than the dry, hard-pan Naked Ultraviolet palette that was such a disaster. But it’s a no for me on this color story. It’s . . . odd, yet boring? But keep going, UD! You can do it!

Ulta has been shipping palettes out lately in flimsy, paper envelopes. I can’t imagine replacing all these shattered palettes is cheaper than shipping in a more secure way.
