Chanel Parure Baroque (338) Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow ($70.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a new, limited edition quad that contained four shimmery shades (ranging from satin to sparkle in intensity) in hues of antique gold, red, faded green, and sparkly white. The texture of the formula was noteworthy: very finely-milled, smooth, and a touch emollient, which made the eyeshadows sit particularly well on skin.

I’m really glad to see this scored well because I didn’t think it would. This seems to be the one most people (including moi) are most interested in but since I can’t purchase Chanel in person and will only go out of my comfort zone for something I consider truly exceptional, I’ll get by with dupes of the green and gold shades and I can probably dig out some unused (or lightly used) red shadow in my collection (not that reds are my faves).
I have this and love it so much I ordered Parure Venetienne as well. It is that good.
Very nice quality overall, but man; what an odd color story! I fail to see anything remotely cohesive within it. And with just 4 shades, I need it to make sense.
The green shade is really lovely!
I’m really pleased to see this one rate well – it just would’ve been too terrible if another HE brand delivered a shoddy product.
I like the shade combination, although I personally would not use the white and red shade, so this quad is a bit redundant to me. I wish that the green and gold shades were a little less faded or muted. It’s the green shade that gives the quad a lift – but once you have Earthbound from your fabulous On the Horizons palette, you just can’t go back to muted shades.
This “Christmas” palette is very pretty. I am glad I bought this. I love how the colours are dark enough to give depth and be smokey without being muddy.
I just love Chanel’s pearl/satin finishes. I love that moody green!
Now that you have reviewed this, I am seriously thinking about picking it up and maybe the Cristal one also. Hopefully, they are the same or near same quality. I do love Chanel shadows. They don’t have a ton of stand alone quads though. At least not stand alone to me but if I pack a couple of singles, then I can travel with these without a problem. This is so beautiful.
