Formula Overview
$45.00/0.22 oz. - $204.55 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "silky" and "lightweight" texture that's long-wearing and have "buildable" intensity. The blushes had a smooth, lightweight consistency that was finely-milled, though not as silky as I would have expected, without being too powdery nor too firmly-pressed into the pan.
The majority of the shades I tested had medium, buildable pigmentation that was hard to over-do but could definitely be intensified for higher coverage if desired. They applied evenly and blended out without issue, and they seemed to sit well on my skin with a semi-matte finish or higher. The more shimmery shades were still more low-level and had a sheen rather than overt shimmer that yielded a more metallic finish.
On my skin, most of the hues I trialed lasted eight hours before showing signs of fading. There was a soft, floral scent to the powders.

What a beautiful shade. I purchased 999 a while ago and love it so much. This is a definite add on for fall/winter. My daughter and I are going to see Queen in Denver in November and I want to do a special makeup look. Haven’t decided what yet but this will likely be a part of that look!
Welcome back Deborah!
It is nice to be back, Genevieve. Hope all has been well with you? I started forcing myself to get up and put at least some makeup on everyday and after a period of time, my depression lifted and I have truly been enjoying it again. I am experimenting with more Korean makeup. As I have gotten older, I find the less pigmented shades seem to suit me best but I haven’t given up my bright lipsticks completely! In fact, I think the brighter lipstick really makes the lighter eyes come together. I will probably start posting on IG again as soon as I finish some work around the house. You know, I have a limited amount of time to get things accomplished here in the summer before the winter hits again, LOL!
Welcome back! So good to “see” you again!
So happy to be back Helene! I am glad to see you still here on the blog. It is like meeting with a whole bunch of close friends after not seeing them for a long time. I hope that you have been well?
I missed you. I was thinking of asking if anyone knew where you were, and search Instagram for you.
I’ve been well, but have some health issues right now. Nothing that can’t be dealt with though. Thanks for asking.
I am so sorry to hear about your health issues. I have likewise been suffering with some health issues as well as mental health issues but finally feel like I am coming out the other side. It was hard to force myself to address issues when I just didn’t feel well. I am planning on upping my Vitamin D intake before this winter roles around! Thanks for thinking of me and once I get back to Instagram I will let you all know. For the past few years all I have posted there is my origami which I took a break from as I was dealing with an aneurysm problem. I want to get back to it again also. My IG is @debkaysor
Another stunning blush in the range.
Nice, nice, nice though for Dior’s prices, a B+ is kind of just barely acceptable in my books. I do have Goulue from Nars and may treat myself to Goa from Buxom since I need a blush to travel with that I can replace if it’s lost in Japan when we go.
WOW, you are going to Japan! What a wonderful time you will have, Mariella. I have Goulue also but still like this one. I have to be very careful with Dior blushes as they are so pigmented. I use a very light hand, a fluffy brush and I swirl them off on my hand, arm or a Kleenex before going to the cheek. I am loving some of the Korean blushes I have been buying as they are not very pigmented. They are quite powdery which I don’t love. I am still trying to figure out how to get the seamless look that they get with their blushes. I don’t know if it in their application or just the fact that they have such young, perfect skin, LOL! When are you leaving for Japan?
Sorry it’s taken me a few days to reply, Deborah S. We’re going in the middle of October. I wanted to be sure I was healed up enough from knee replacement surgery to be able to get around well (we’d thought of going last spring but I was worried my knee wouldn’t be healed enough and also, it’s the sakura festival and I hate large crowds and it was crowded – my daughter in law’s mom went then and – climate change – missed the cherry blossoms but didn’t miss the crowds). I don’t like hot, hot weather so October seems perfect. My son and daughter in law have been living there for coming up to 2 years (I think) and son speaks very good Japanese (his wife is half Japanese but he speaks better than she does).
WOW, I am excited for you. It is so much easier when you have someone who can speak the language. When we went to Europe, it was my main worry. I could just see us having to try and pantomime everything. Of course, everyone spoke English pretty much. They are so much better about learning different languages than we are. I think we just expect everyone to speak English. My daughter did have four years of high school French to rely on and she spoke it quite well. She was surprised how much she remembered. I took 8 years of Spanish and was able to understand quite a bit as the languages are based off the Latin. You will have so much fun. I have to admit to not really wanting to visit the orient except to buy makeup and origami paper!! I don’t like big crowds and understand that customs are different. I know that the Asian community does not have the same “personal space” that we practice and I am a bit phobic about that. It isn’t the shear numbers but rather the personal space issue. I don’t know where it comes from, maybe fear of someone accosting me or whether it stems from my cancer as I was very conscious of anyone getting too close to me while I was immunosuppressed and now after COVID. It is beautiful and I have many IG friends in the origami community that send me pictures and it is lovely. I think October sounds great. We went to Europe from August 27th to October 4th and that was primarily because it was considered off season and everything was cheaper. It worked out great because we had wonderful weather and less crowds. I look forward to hearing about your trip!!
