Formula Overview

$26.00/0.13 oz. - $200.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have a "silky texture that blends seamlessly and builds color effortlessly" and is a combined blush and bronzer, in terms of effect. The texture was smooth, almost cream-like--dense and a little plush to the touch but not thick or difficult to pick up with a brush. It actually yielded more product on my brush than I expected, and it's not a formula I'd describe as buildable.

These were quite pigmented and a little went a long way, so you'll want to use a lighter hand and more feathery brush to pick up product for a true, buildable application of product. They applied evenly, blended out well, and were higher shine, though they didn't emphasize my skin's natural texture. The formula stayed on well for eight to nine hours before fading visibly.

I have to admit to not being the biggest bronzer fan. I think it is hard to get the right shade, right formula and right pigmentation when you are super pale. Same goes for contour except that I have MAC Omega which has worked well for contour for many years. I don’t contour or bronze on the daily basis and mostly just if I am going somewhere special and it is night time. I probably feel safer doing it when it is dark and no one will really see my poor choice or poor technique.

Same here, Deborah. Bronzer looks unnatural on me, especially if I try to use it to contour and contouring generally looks like dirt smudges on my round face (it’s actually this round face that, at age 70, has people mistaking me for someone considerably younger!). I do use a dc’d TooFaced bronzer occasionally to give a bit of natural looking colour/warmth to my face when I’m wearing minimal to no makeup but generally, it’s a step I skip because it just doesn’t look natural.

Yea, I am not a big fan. I like how it looks on others but not on me. I have tried contouring my nose and eye sockets recently after watching several K Beauty influencers do it and I am sort of getting the hang of it. I still wouldn’t do it if I was leaving the house, though, LOL!!

Too funny about leaving the house. I bet a lot of us here try out looks at home that we wouldn’t wear out in public (I did it last night, before washing my face – wanted to see how 2 different black eyeshadows – UD Creep from the first Naked palette and ABH Noir from the Sultry palette – smudged as liners/smokey eyes. I liked the looks (though Creep had fallout that was hard to clean away) but they were a bit too “intense” for my every day life.

I definitely try more looks at home and never leave the house than when I was younger. I would like to say, and do sometimes say, that I wear what I want to wear and what makes me happy but that isn’t really the truth, most of the time. I never worried about it and wore some crazy makeup when I was younger. I think I stopped going out of the house with my crazy makeup when my brother asked me if a box of crayons had exploded on my face, about 6 years ago, LOL!! As I recall, it was one of my more colorful looks and I was also wearing a very brightly colored floral dress at the time. I seem to recall that my ex-husband, who was living with me at the time, made a similar comment that day!!
