Laura Mercier Fuchsia Delicat Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a bright, fuchsia pink with cooler, blue undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied comfortably across my lips as it did not tug.
The texture was lightweight, velvety with light slip, but it wasn’t the most forgiving of formulas as there was a bit of product that separated along deeper lip lines and a tendency to emphasize lip texture imperfections. It wore well for six hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

The formula is supposed to have "high-impact color" with "weightless decadence" that "moisturizes and smooths." The pigmentation was nearly opaque to opaque in a single layer, which applied smoothly and without tugging. The texture was lightly creamy but more velvety overall, so it glided easily over my lips but didn't feel overly slippery.
The issue I had was that the formula didn't seem particularly forgiving of natural lip texture or imperfections, so despite exfoliating prior to application, there were areas highlighted that I didn't expect to see since the formula was supposed to be smoothing. It also settled a bit into deeper lip lines, which was more noticeable (in person, not just in the close-up photos) with lighter shades than brighter or deeper tones. They lasted between four and six hours on me and felt lightly hydrating.

Laura Mercier Rose Mandarine Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a vibrant, coral-red with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single stroke, which applied fairly evenly, but I noticed settling along deeper lip lines and along the edge of my lips.
The texture felt lightweight, velvety and smooth, but it seemed to emphasize texture slightly, though the richness of the color made it harder to notice in person. It stayed on well for six hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.

Ingredients
Two of my very favorite lipsticks ever were Laura Mercier, so I’m interested in this Rouge Essentiel line. However, these shades are both too bright for me. I hope we’ll get to see reviews of more shades in the future.
Not surprisingly, I love Rose Mandarine. Yeah, I have three 90% dupes for it. Crazy, huh?

Laura Mercier lip sticks are under rated. They deserve more attention. Love both of these bright summery lip colors!
