Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette Looks
Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette Look
The new Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette (review) went up for sale this morning, and here are two looks featuring the new palette with quick step-by-step instructions. Just to reiterate, as per the back of the palette: “Warning: Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban are not intended for the immediate eye area.”. Here’s Urban Decay’s response (per Facebook): “A few shades contain a colorant that has not yet been approved for the use around the immediate eye area. However, this restriction only applies in the U.S.; in every other country where Urban Decay is sold, these shades are approved for use around the eyes. Bottom line? We didn’t want to limit the Electric Palette to eyeshadow. It’s an artistry palette with unlimited possibilities! How you use these shades is up to you. (And no matter where you use them, you’ll get insane color payout.).”
Look #1
- Apply Urban Eyeshadow to the lower third of the lid going horizontally across the upper lash line.
- Apply Savage Eyeshadow to the upper third to half of the lid (right before the crease), lightly overlaying Urban Eyeshadow to blend.
- Apply Slowburn Eyeshadow into the crease and blending above, towards the brow bone.
- Apply X Eyeshadow above the crease and along the inner tearduct to soften and blend out Slowburn Eyeshadow.
- Apply ABC Gum Eyeshadow on the brow bone and layer over the edge of Chaos Eyeshadow to bring everything together.
- Apply darkest shade in Brown Sugar Brow Box with an angled brush to define brows.
- Apply Scorch 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil to lower lash line.
- Apply two coats of Supercurl Mascara to upper and lower lashes.
- Apply Naked Skin Liquid Foundation (3.0 and 4.0) and buff into skin.
- Apply Naked Flushed Bronzer to cheeks to add subtle warmth, and then lightly dust Naked Flushed Highlighter to cheek bones to highlight.
- Apply Jilted Revolution Lipstick to lips and pat on Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss for a bolder look or apply Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss and mix in Streak Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss for a subtler lip color.
Look #2
- Apply Thrash Eyeshadow to the inner third of the lid by patting shadow into place.
- Apply Freak Eyeshadow to the middle of the lid and blend into Thrash.
- Apply Fringe Eyeshadow to the outer third of the lid and blend into the outer corner/crease.

So in love with the red pigment. It’s a must have for me. Great looks and I like how you have made these brights appear very wearable.
Thanks so much, Wendy! 🙂
The palette doesn’t appeal to me, but the second look made me want Streak for my lips!
Mission accomplished!
I love the first look! So original. Of course the second one is gorgeous, but the first one was a little more unexpected, which I love!

Great work, these are fabulous. Difficult to do sophisticated with colours as bold and bright as these, but you’ve really pulled it off. Gorgeous.

Thanks a lot, Ankita! I preferred it with the bolder lip, too!
so so beautiful Christine !!! can you share whats on your lips for all these looks? your complexion absolutely flawless !!! 🙂
Everything I’m wearing is posted above, including what I used on the lips!
I’m on a low buy so I’ll admire this palette from afar. Christine, that blue green look is absolutely gorgeous! I’m a sucker for teal and girl, you are wearing it!
Aww, thank you, Erica 😀
So so so so happy to see looks from you!!!
Glad you enjoyed, Catherine!
Gorgeous!!!
Thanks, Megan!
I really love the first look, but I know some of the colors aren’t intended for the immediate eye area so that worries me a bit.
Definitely a risk you have to assess and move on from there – I didn’t know it wasn’t eye safe until I had worn it about 10 times 🙁
Wow, Christine. These looks are very cute on you!
Thanks, Vanessa!
Seriously, I am so inspired by the first look with the red. I don’t have this palette but I might mess around with a red MUFE eyeshadow. Thank you!
Sounds like a good plan!
Beautiful looks! I’m especially fond of the first one, which is like an electric sunset. Although I have a lot of shades, I don’t think I have too many that have the saturation level of these.
Thank you, Kate!
Phew! These looks are stunning! 😀 The colours all look so perfect – blended, but still distinct and vibrant. Christine, you’re amazing! 😀 Now I want this palette even more…
Aw, thanks a lot, Sylirael! 🙂
Wow. Amazing. I like how you mix and match a few shades together to create a look. Definitely loving that pop of color 🙂
Thanks, Fiona!
So so beautiful! I loved the first look so much I just tried recreating it with Sugarpill shadows! I used poison plum, dollypop and love +, and urban decay x, wos. Turned out great! Can’t wait to get this palette! Thank you for the gorgeous looks! I had never thought of layering x over love +, I think it’s going to be my favourite for a long time!
YAY! I’m so glad you were able to give it a shot, Karen! I love that you used what you had, too 🙂 I really liked the effect of X over red/orange mattes!
Holy cow! I need to start wearing more blues and greens…they really make your eyes pop 🙂 Stunning!!!
You definitely do! xo
Strikingly beautiful eye looks! I’m going to copy each one when my palette arrives. Ordered it today, thanks for the inspirations!
My pleasure! xo

Blending perfection!!! Do you use a clean blending brush , or an eyeshadow on the brush?
Hi Amalia!
I use an eyeshadow on the brush/whatever brush I just used for that area 🙂
I absolutely love the first look you did! It’s making me feel like I need to experiment with color a lot more often!
Thanks a lot, Danielle! I hope you try something colorful soon!
What stunning looks, Christine! You wear bright colours so well. Can’t wait to check out this palette in-store 🙂

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
These looks are GORGEOUS.
Thanks, Jenn! xo
I was hoping to get this at sephora :c
You can!
Oh my gosh, you’re so talented! These colors are cool and you rock them! I love UD but I just wouldn’t get enough use out of this palette so I have to pass on it.
Thank you, Andrea!
You are completely gifted!!
Aww, thanks Kathy!
Thank you for all your tutorials! I received my Electric palette and just kept staring at it, since this Naked-lovin’ girl wasn’t sure quite where to actually start with colors! Thanks again! I know it must take a ton of time, but it’s very much appreciated. 🙂
So happy to help, Heather 🙂
How did you get Streak to apply not streaky?
It’s not a problematic shade for me!
Hey Christine!! I was just curious if you had any problems with left over pigmentation after removing the eyeshadow. The other day I wore a tiny bit of savage on my lower lash line and realized it left a pinkish tint under my eye for about a day and a half. From what I understand that is why it is said to be “unsafe.” I was just wondering if you have any ways to avoid that tint from happening, and if it isn’t avoidable, do you have any removal tips?
Hi Christine!
You can read my review regarding staining here – http://www.temptalia.com/urban-decay-electric-pressed-pigment-palette-review-photos-swatches
both of these look so good, I’ve been on temptalia for so long and totally missed out on these tutorial posts, gosh!
Thank you, Shilpa! 🙂
