Win it! My Skincare Favorites from DermStore!

In celebration of DermStore’s recent relaunch, we’ve partnered with them on this giveaway, which features many of my favorite skincare products.  The relaunch, which features a new logo, look and feel, comes on the heels of the retailer’s 20th anniversary and continued commitment to carrying top brands and promoting the love and education of all things skincare.

I’ve been shopping for skincare from DermStore for years now; it’s typically where I purchase products from brands like Avene, Dermalogica, Eminence, Skinceuticals, SkinMedica, and Sunday Riley.  So, you can bet that I’m excited to give away some of my favorite skincare products that are available at DermStore.

The Prize

The following products are all ones I’ve personally tested and really enjoyed over the years!  I’m a huge, long-time fan of Skinceuticals C E Ferulic, which I first purchased in 2017 and have repurchased three times since. Sunday Riley UFO Ultra-Clarifying Treatment Face Oil is one of the few staple products in my routine; the combination of salicylic acid and tea tree just really works for me, and the texture of the oil is perfection. It’s another product I started using in 2017 and have continued to use since (I think I’ve gone through five or six bottles at this point, and I actually have an active subscription for it through DermStore–that’s real commitment!–which saves 15%).

Products like CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, Avene Redness Relief Cream SPF 25, Avene Hydrance Optimale SPF 25, and First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream are all products I’ve gone back over the years.  CeraVe is reliable brand for more affordable products, and their cleanser is perfect for gentle cleansing (I’m currently going through a bottle as my morning cleanser).  I often purchase Avene moisturizers for suncare, as the texture is lightweight and comfortable and works well under makeup (I got a tip from readers here back in 2017 about Avene’s moisturizers!).

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream has the texture of a higher-end cream but with the quantity/price tag ratio that’s a bit kinder to the wallet; my husband has worked his way through a few jars over the last two years, and it’s one I often add back into my routine in the winter–we always have at least one jar as backup!  My husband loves Sol de Janeiro Brazilian 4 Play Shower Cream-Gel, which we’ve gone through a dozen or more bottles of at this point; I really enjoy the way it lathers and feels during and post-shower.

Finally, the inclusion of one haircare product: Alterna Caviar Leave-In Heat Protection Spray, which is what I’ve been using the last few months before I blow dry my hair–I’m even more cautious and diligent about protecting my hair from damage since I started bleaching and coloring it.

Aren’t ingredient allergies just the best fun? Using process of elimination to figure it out takes more time than a week’s worth of 10 step routines. Some days it seems there’s more you can’t use than you can.?

Unfortunately, I’m allergic to one of the most common skincare ingredients (chamomile), and one or more of the most common chemical sunscreens. (Not sure which one(s) exactly, but never saw any point in trying to figure that out since they’re always added in multiples … and why even bother to figure it out when physical sunscreens work just fine for me?)

Wow! A great range of skincare – I love how simple the ingredients are! I just started using the C E Ferulic acid and love the brightening drops 🙂 I’d love to try the Avene SPF for application after the serum.

I’ve actually been thinking about trying the Sol de Janerio body wash for a while now. It’s been in and out of my Sephora cart a dozen times by now.

Wow what an awesome giveaway! I would be most excited to try the Skinceuticals C& E Ferulic, I’ve heard such great things about it! Thanks so much for the chance to win!

The FAB Ultra Repair cream was an absolute life saver when I had an allergic reaction to a medication last March. I was covered head to toe in hives and nothing was helping, even Aveeno’s oatmeal bath. I had a sample of the FAB Ultra Repair cream that I was using as a hand cream at the time. I noticed that it had lessened the redness of the hives on my hand. I got my butt to Ulta after work that day, bought a full-sized jar, and never looked back.

this is such a lovely (and generous) thing to do, christine ! personally i’m really interested in the fab ultra repair cream, but as a student the price tag is a bit high, but i might read some more reviews and buy it eventually

I have been using skinceuticals ce ferrulic for the past 20 years and people think I’m 20 years younger than I am. Even the dermatologist said that my face looks better than hers, once I got my hormonal acne under control.

Grace Avatar

I’ve always wondered what the hype was all about for Dermalogica and Sunday Riley products, but they’re a bit above my price range…fingers crossed! Thanks for the awesome giveaway 🙂

Love the Sunday Riley UFO oil. It’s the only thing where I actually notice a difference after one night of using it on my hormonal breakouts.

Maribeth Avatar

Thank you for this amazing opportunity! I’ve gone through a few bottles of the UFO oil myself. It really saved my horrible chin breakouts!

I love the Sunday Riley oil. I am on my 2nd bottle and I struggle to finish anything. So definitely a commitment from me there, too. The First Aid is also such a good one. Wonderful prize for whoever wins. Thanks so much for the shot!

This is such a neat giveaway, Christine! I’m hitting 30 this year and I think I’ve treated my skin alright until now, but it doesn’t hurt to find new ways to take care of it!

kayla Avatar

Very interesting how Dermstore changed its looks! I really enjoyed how they broke down the ingredient list and what it targets for skincare, so I’m happy they kept that! I would love to try the Sunday Riley clarifying treatment oil, my skin terribly needs it!

Thank you Christine for this giveaway and your unbiased reviews, we all truly appreciate it with the untruthfulness that is often given to us consumers.

What a lovely giveaway! The SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic has been my go-to Vitamin C product for several years. Now, if they could make it smell better, that would be great. 🙂
