Happy Sunday! I have a little giveaway for readers this week: the grand prize winner will receive a $50 Sephora eGift Card and two runner-up winners will each receive a $25 Sephora eGift Card! (I wanted to spread the love around a bit more with three winners instead of two!)

One of the reasons behind the giveaway is to continue to drive awareness of Temptalia’s new Color Story tool, where you can create and share your own color combinations (for a makeup look, whether that’s a full face of makeup or just an eye look), custom palettes (like your go-travel eyeshadow palette), or even a collection of products (like your favorite coral lipsticks). 

Of course, the first entry is just simply logging in (which minimizes robots and quickly verifies entrants!), and there are other ways to enter that do not require signing up to be a member. Good luck!

I’m confused (nothing new here) – is this a new contest or the one from last month? I love everything about how these are structured, not the least that it’s forcing me to create colour stories so I remember what I’ve worn and liked.

I was thinking of making more color stories as a break from my usual work just today actually! I really love this feature, I remember messing around on sites like Polyvore to make fashion moodboards and such, and I always wanted to do more with curating makeup collections haha.

Thanks for doing a giveaway! I created a color story and it seems like a great new feature to Temptalia. I always use this site to color match foundations and to look up swatches for just about everything. Thanks for everything you do!

Christine, I just have to say that having these contests is such a great way to “force” (I don’t mean that as harshly as it must sound) someone like me to “record” the looks I’ve done and which I’d forget about within a day and be unable to replicate. I’m hoping that eventually, it will become a habit (though to be honest, most of my “looks” are so similar and so neutral and boring that it might become a bit boring for others, while being a worthwhile resource for me personally).

Haha! The first time I saw you mention that, I totally understood after the first read through, but I was like geez, you don’t HAVE to enter that way ?

Hey, we give you the feature, you use it how you want. We’re happy to have it used!! If we received enough submissions regularly, we could certainly start displaying them a bit differently on the landing page – you know, like recently submitted, most loved in the last 24 hours etc. to ensure there’s a nice variety of color stories highlighted initially 🙂
