Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: MAC NC 20

Favorite coral blush? Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer liquid blush in Corsica or MAC Style or Springsheen. Both discontinued

Go-to blush brush? For powder, I use an Up& Up domed shape blush brush from Target that they no longer make. Had it for years. For cream/liquids, I use the cream blush brush from Smashbox.

Favorite highlighter finish? Something not glittery but melds into the skin, gives a nice sheen like MAC Lightscapade or Becca Moonstone.

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, brown hair.

Favorite coral blush? ND mini Bloom Highlighting blush.

Go-to blush brush? For liquid, the e.l.f. Duo Fiber Cheek Stipple Brush (which they don’t sell anymore) and for powder blush, an angled vegan blush brush that I got in a very old set of Morphe brushes a long time ago.

Favorite highlighter finish? The RealTechniques makeup setting powder brush.

Your skin tone/coloring: I am super fair with neutral to cool undertones. There still seems to be a difference of opinion between sales associates from Spokane, to Seattle to Vancouver over exactly what my undertone is so I have settled for neutral, LOL! I have brown eyes and silver/white/ brown hair Depending on whether you see me from the front, side or back. I have very dry skin, lots of wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. I have fat volume loss and sagging skin. I have a lot of crepe around my eyes. I am going to be 70 years old in January.

Favorite coral blush? Ciate Summer Love is about as close as I normally come to a coral blush. I am starting to branch out and will be interested to hear other readers recommendations.

Go-to blush brush? Not intended as a blush brush, my preference is Wayne Goss’ Air brush. It is just the right size, density and weight for me. I think I own three and wouldn’t mind picking up a couple more. I also use it to set my under eyes because it isn’t so dense that it affects my concealer. I use it for highlighter also.

Favorite highlighter finish? I am not a blinding highlighter person so not sure what you would call what I am? I have become more strategic in my highlighter placement. I use to pretty much just slap it on and not worry about it but I am limiting my placement to a smaller area on my cheeks, on my cupid’s bow, tip of my nose and occasionally above my eyebrows. I still really like my Becca and Hourglass highlighters and like powder, cream and liquid blushes. I almost always layer my blushes. I like the depth you get with layering.

Favorite coral blush? Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach (Does peach count as coral?)

Go-to blush brush? I have several and they’re all very different from each other. At the moment, my favorite is the Elf Ultimate Blending Brush, which works really well with Clinique Cheek Pops, which are pretty much the only blushes I use anymore.

Favorite highlighter finish? I rarely use highlighter, but when I do, my favorite is Laura Mercier Matte Radiance because it’s so subtle.

Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
Favorite coral blush? coral blushes don’t look great with my skin undertones but I guess if I had to choose one, it would be Benefit Coralista
Go-to blush brush? an angled one from PUR Minerals that is really old. I should probably replace it.
Favorite highlighter finish? I like some shimmery glow – not glitter and not “seen from space” (which was what I ended up with when I bought Benefit Cookie – waaaay too shimmery for me). Some of the Dior highlighters from the past and the UD Afterglow ones in Sin and Aura are perfect examples of what I love in a highlighter finish.

Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)

Favorite coral blush? It’s a tossup between MAC Spring Flock and Nars Fetishized.

Go-to blush brush? I’m not home, so I’m not able to see the number on it, but I know that it’s a Luxie Blush blush! I LOVE their face brushes a lot!

Favorite highlighter finish? Translucent, ethereal, wet looking, but nothing that emphasizes texture. Especially since I have rather large pores. And, I also love duochrome flashes, as well!

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

Favorite coral blush? MAC Fleur Power

Go-to blush brush? A Real Techniques Angled blush brush

Favorite highlighter finish? I don’t use a highlighter, but it I did it would be a soft, slightly dewy finish.

Stephanie Avatar

Your skin tone/coloring: pale yellowish, blue eyes
Favorite coral blush? Right now it is Saie Peachglow
Go-to blush brush? With creams I just use my fingers, but for powders I liked an angled blush brush these days. I think I use the one I have from Moda the most.
Favorite highlighter finish? The most glimmery and glittery and sparkly. Just The Most in general 😭😭😭

Favorite coral blush? I own two I consider corals, Benefit Coralista and MARS Orgasm, the latter being my favourite.
Go-to blush brush? Luxie 504 Large Angled brush. I have at least three from the time I had a box subscription and bought advent calendars.
Favorite highlighter finish? Soft shine or slight shimmer. I think I’ll love the new(ish) ones from CP. I use another Luxie brush for Highlighters, 522 Tapered Highlighter brush.
The brushes are synthetic and very soft.
