What are your favorite powder highlighter formulas?

This week’s topic is BEST POWDER HIGHLIGHTER FORMULAS!  We’ve been compiling formula recommendations from the community, and you’ll find the top 10 top performing highlighter formulas shared below.  If you’ve shared your favorites in the past, you can always make adjustments to your recommendations or add additional recommendations based on new releases or products you’ve now tried.

Best Highlighter Formulas (Powder) | The Top 10

The list below shows the top 10 most recommended highlighters with the only requirement being that they’re a formula that is permanent (so currently available). The list will automatically update as more recommendations are made! (If something has been discontinued, please let me know!)

You can view the full list of recommendations here, where you can refine the results by things like price, skin type, skin tone, and so on to get a list of the best recommendations for your coloring. You can also share your own recommendations.

ABOUT THE RECOMMENDATIONS

The Temptalia community is enthusiastic, honest, and diverse, so crowd-sourcing top picks from our readers is an excellent way to keep track of and organize the answers from our weekly “Hit List” post, which has typically asked for readers favorite [fill-in-the-blank].  Instead of scanning through comments, everyone’s answer(s) get saved to the Recommendations Database along with pertinent information like skin tone or skin type (as applicable).

We invite you to share your own recommendations, and if you think you might be making recommendations often, consider registering and filling out your profile as the form will pre-fill with your profile information for you each time!

Thank you for taking the time to add your recommendations to our database! 🙂

Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

My two favorite formulas are at the top of the list. I have several Becca and Dior highlighters and find that both formula’s work great for me. They don’t highlight my texture, don’t disrupt my base and both have shades light enough for me to use. I would love to see more shades in the Dior.

Totally agree on both. There are other really good highlighters, but they’re way “too too” for me. I don’t want to look like a fluorescent oil slick!

Like Deborah S, Dior and Becca are my 2 favourites as well but I really lament the loss of the Urban Decay highlighters (at least here in Canada, as Sephora no longer carries them; not sure if UD d/c’d them or it’s just Sephora) – those (I think there were only 3 or maybe 4 shades) were wonderful. I am also blown away by the quality of the Milani ones. I got the “Afterglow” shade and can’t get over just how good it is, especially in light of the low price.
