Formula Overview

$29.00/0.2 oz. - $145.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have "high-impact" with "crease-proof" and "10-hour" wear. The finish is more metallic when worn at full opacity and in one layer, but it has fine sparkles that come through as the product is blended out (whether with a fingertip or a brush). The formula was quite pigmented and a little went a long way, but they could definitely be worn sheered out or as full opacity depending on one's preferences.

The consistency was like a whipped, airy mousse--very lightweight and smooth while still having a substantial feel that ensured it delivered color payoff. They wore around nine to 10 hours on me, so they actually lived up to their longevity claims.

Note, the ingredient list is very comparable to Lisa Eldridge's Liquid Lurex Liquid Eyeshadows (the first dozen of ingredients are almost in the same order), and by feel/performance, they immediately made me think of them as well.

I wonder if there are different formulations of these depending on who gets them, influencers or regular customers… Since I do not find these to be very good to wear. And certainly not similar to Liquid lurex from Lisa Eldridge… the difference between them are striking.
I ordered the whole set of these to try out. But I will be not be using them any more since they never dry down but stay smearable throughout the wear, which also make them crease like nobody’s business. Also the sparkle fall down and ends up on cheeks and all over. And apart from sparkles these are not particularly shimmery or dimensional either.
Many of the shadows are also a lot darker than they look on promo pictures or the brands own swatches.

The liquid lurexes does dry down more like most liquid eye shadows and stay put throughout weartime. And the choices of shadows there are more flattering in my opinion and more shiny on the eyes. Even though when it comes to choices of shadows that is more about personal preference. The PmG ones are more murky and smoky with a lot of black pigment in them.
But my biggest gripe is the formula. It just doesn’t stay put and doesn’t dry down but stays smearable which also makes them crease more than any liquid or cream eyeshadow I have ever tried…

The sparkle/glitter in the 2 I bought migrated as well. 🙁 I applied the product very sparingly, so I don’t think it was user error (I’ve also used many, many liquid shadows, including Lisa Eldridge’s). I completely trust Christine’s reviews and the veracity of the other commenter’s experience, so I wonder if there’s a quality control issue.

Unless there are different batches in circulation of all the colours I doubt there can be a particular issue with the ones I got, especially since the reviewer here says she has bought hers…I only share my experience which has shown up also in some other influencers reviews. And my experience after trying to work with these on both myself and others is like I wrote before in my comment. These smear even when swatching on the hand and after leaving them on for about an hour to see if they ever would dry down, whereas normal liquid eyeshadows usually need a cleaning agent to be removed and hardly ever migrate or crease on me or clients. These you can wipe off completely with your fingers or just a towel on your hand after more than an hour, which to me reads these do not dry down much at all.
On the eyes I have used them very sparingly as I mostly use liquid eyeshadows as one and done and very thinly spread out. (Which is also why I can say these end up quite murky when blended well as that brings out the black pigment). I have used them a few times on top of powder eyeshadow too, a tiny amount as a topper. But I find that doesn’t help the formula either, instead it makes it even worse as it seems then both lift and disrupt what is underneath if you blend it ever so slightly and will make everything crease.
And then after a while the sparkle begin to migrate and fall down.
For reference also, most of these eye shadows look darker on than they appear on the swatches in this review made with heavy lighting. Much due to the black pigment in them which will become more visible the more you blend them out.
All in all I find this formula problematic compared to most high end and cheap liquid eye shadow formulas out there. And I use liquids or cream formulas a lot as they are my preferred choice for daily natural office friendly looks, both on myself and on others.
