MAC Brunette, Blonde, Redhead Collection for Winter 2008

Facechart from NYFW Spring ’09 using Redhead MSF

MAC Cosmetics Brunette, Blonde, Redhead
Available January 8th, 2009

To each their own. Three dramatically different personalities, three perfectly-personalized palettes. Eyes, cheeks, lips, formulated to be coiffeur-complementary. Bombshell or bookworm, no matter. Colour-coordination: this comprehensive makes it work! Designed to play-up the most potent and powerful accessory a girl has: her hair. The complete opposite of contrivance – this is simplicity itself. So basic it’s brilliant!

it seems helpful with all the customized products.it reminds me of those models on the hair coloring boxes, they’re makeup compliments with their haircolor.(i’m weird that way)and the eyeshadows are not just browns and neutrals.i hope they are really nice as i can see myself get a couple of items in this collection. i’m curious about the msfs and the brushes. are the 214 and 165 new brushes?

Black hair would most definately fall under the brunette category but depending on your skin tone you could pull off some of the colors in the blonde and redhead collections too. Black hair looks awesome with alot of different colors.

umm… not everyone is blonde or brunette??
but I guess like Jessica mentioned you can improvise.

the consumers that purchase MAC are very diverse, they have to be a little more creative than this IMO.

All of these face charts are available on MACPRO.com for anyone who wants to see them. They have more if anyone is interested. It’s under “What’s New”, then click “Daily Trend Report”.

Do you have a link to the stories on makeup talk and lushious babe? I have questions about this collection. Thanks.

Do you know if the eyeshadows will be sold as singles or in a palette? This is a really cool concept that should “hand-holdingly” introduce some new customers into the MAC brand, who might have not thought about it before.

I love this idea about the different collections for the different hair colors. Some of us girls forget that we need to re-evaluate our makeup when we make a change like that. It’s great that someone made it easier for us! One more reason to absolutely love MAC!

I like the sound of the brunette and redhead colors, especially the lipglasses and the eyeshadows. I may also have to pick up a Strawberry Blonde lipglass, because it sounds many kinds of awesome!

I can’t wait to see what the brushes look like. So far I haven’t seen any pictures 🙁

Btw- thanks Christine for taking the time to answer all questions and always being so helpful 🙂

It doesn’t come out until January 8… I hope you don’t go early! Remember, MAC always introduces new collections on Thursday, with the exception of the day after Christmas.

And for those of you who are wondering about the brushes… they are all black, one is like a shorter/rounded version of the #212, one is like a larger version of the #219, and the other is like a tear drop shape and about the size of the #116.

Come get this collection while it lasts!!!
