Ooooh so pretty! Will you be reviewing these?

A few days ago I saw a girl at Starbucks wearing a color very similiar to Smokin’ Hot. I wasn’t able to ask her what brand/name she was wearing but I overheard her say OPI to her friend.

Christine (or anyone else), do you know if there is a similar OPI color?

Regardless, I’m going to stop by Metro Beauty to take a look at this winter collection. It’s lovely (and I’ve been a little turned off by OPI ever since they sent you that rude letter!).

Nathalie, if she said it was OPI, then I’m about 99% sure she was wearing You Don’t Know Jacques. I have it, and it fits the color description of Essie Smokin’ Hot perfectly. Hope that helps!

I’m not too impressed with these 🙁 The red (Silken Cord) is pretty but I guess the China Glaze Christmas Collection caught my eye and these colors just doesn’t really compare, IMO.

I find as well these are very similar to some Essie polishes previously released – a few shades seem to resemble some from their most recent fall collection :\ (namely the darker polishes) as well there is one that looks similar to merino cool

Ok so some of these colors reminds me of previous Essie colors!
Like Smokin Hot is kinda reminiscent of the popular Essie -Mink Muffs or Chinchilly

And Luxedo reminds me of Velvet Voyeur (from the recent fall collection) which I loveeee

Maybe the swatches can clear this up for me …but till then…

Erica – Essie doesn’t test on animals, but earlier this year they were purchased by L’Oreal who does test on animals. So unfortunately, purchasing essie is still giving money to a company that refuses to stop animal testing. L’Oreal claims they are going cruelty-free in 2013, but I’ll believe it when it happens.
