MAC False Lashes Mascara for Holiday 2010/Winter 2011

MAC False Lashes Mascara for Holiday 2010/Winter 2011

U.S. Launch Date: December 26th, 2010

We’re all evolving – better, braver, more beautiful – every day. So consider the Lash, the durability of design, function, formula, elegance and, of course, the desire to astound: False Lashes debut at M∙A∙C, created to take nature further forward than ever before! The illusion of extensions, made real without anything but a vital new mega-multiplication formula, creating extremities of volume and curl for a dramatic end look, thickening for what we call the “look alive” eye – wide awake, wonderfully well rested, glamorously engorged – applied with the uniquely engineered double-lush brush for the ultimate lash evolution. Nature take note!

False Lashes Mascara ($18.00 U.S. / $21.50 CDN)

False Lashes Mascara adds dramatic volume, the rich, creamy, volumizing formula magnifies and multiplies the look of each lash, creating dramatically thick, long, curled, exaggerated lashes. The lush brush applies a deluxe dose of heavy pigment to the lashes and works in combination with the product to create incredible volume, length and density. The pigments in the formula are treated to allow for maximum colour payoff that remains true, deep, uniform and wears all day long. It’s flake- and smudge-resistant, ophthalmologist-tested and safe for contact wearers.

Yeah, I don’t know if I trust any of Mac’s Mascaras anymore. Maybe it’s just me, but all of their mascaras are not up to standards: it’s either too waxy, or has a ridiculous brush, or flat, or… I don’t trust the mascaras from Mac. The only one that is descent, is Pluslash.

Happy Birthday Christine! I saw on twitter that you were going to cancel your birthday celebration with the boy last night because you felt you ought to stay at home to support all us subbies who were going crazy cause Mac was jerking our strings about the V V launch. Live Chat Canada told me to try Tues morning. Geeesh …. thanks a lot bud, half the stuff will be sold out by then. As it was I got 16 things. Hope you’ve been having a swell b day! <3 2 u!

I can’t ever buy MAC mascaras because they all claim to do everything based on the descriptions on the website. It makes it difficult to choose, haha!

Compared to all the other new collection posts, this one isn’t getting much love, so I just thought I’d add a thought.

Poor solitary mascara. I’m guessing it won’t get much love.

P.S., when I first skimmed the post, I thought this “collection” was actually false lashes, not mascara.. I was like “Huh? One pair of lashes, and it gets it’s own collection” Hahaha oops

Does anyone know if this is the same false lashes mascara that Prescriptives carried? I know that both MAC and Prescriptives are owned by Estee Lauder and that MAC came out with the same cooling bronzer that Prescriptives carried. If this the same mascara then get ready everybody because that mascara was awesome!

I’ve liked MAC’s mascaras ever since they first came out with Lash Deluxe years ago. Back in the US anyway, at one time they were even cheaper than L’Oreal’s mascaras.

I don’t know if anyone is familiar with the pretty popular but no longer False Lashes mascara by Prescriptives, but this IS the same formula. MAC bought the formula when Prescriptives went out of business 🙂

Alyssa Avatar

Hey Christine! This is definitely the same formula as Perscriptive’s False Lash mascara. And I’ve heard other products using Perscriptive patents like a moisturizer will be used (since M.A.C.’s Moisturelush is being discontinued).

erica Avatar

I agree I also use the combo of dazzle lash (my favorite)along with zoomlash…..I brought this false lashes mascara today along with the comfort cream and I cant wait to try them both out

Rosa Avatar

I love this mascara, my lashes look great! I was using zoom fast black lash prior, I did not like it, it would smudge and I had to work at it to get nice looking lashes. False lash mascara glides on smoothly.
