I know it’s just the two cool tone ones to match the theme for this collection. I would love to see MORE Blush Ombre’s come out as ripe peach was nice but very pale shade that didn’t work on medium and up skin tones.

Maybe the summer?

Morena Avatar

Even though mac claims to be for all races many of their collection is geared for cool skin tones. Think Cham Pale, Quite Cuite (i actually liked this one and bought it anyway), The glitter and ice and others that I cannot think of. Mac isnt the only brand with that problem, i think that mny companys just simply do not know how to make colors for warmer skin tones, while staying away from earth tones while at it. I expect something for warm tones from the Asian collection that will be coming out. I like the pink lipglass (i never buy them though) and pink lipstick, everything else is too dark or too cool/pale for me.

I was supposed to be on a blush ban after a couple of blushes I’ve been wanting…but Azalea Blossom made me realize that I am a true blush freak and that I just have to indulge myself haha.

Kim-Mary Avatar

Oh Heaven help me!!! Why oh why MAC????? This sounds like a super fabulous collection. I just wish there had been lipsticks instead of lipcremes. Not a huge fan of them. I will be buying just about everything so far. I’ll wait for pictures & swatches & your recommendations Christine.

Ashley Avatar

Heather Belles eyeshadow is a repromote from one of the Tartan Tale eyeshadow palettes… it’s a blackened purple and I think has a matte (or satin?) finish.

Claire Avatar

Yeah I have that palette, just popped it out to check. To me it just looks like a really deep grey, almost black but not quite. It’s a satin finish but it’s really dry. I’ve gotten the palettes from quite a few recent launches but this one doesn’t excite me. That’s a good thing, though, because the palettes are often terrible quality!

Nina Avatar

Aurora and Nebula sound pretty!… but I’m so excited for azalaea blossom =]

I’m hoping they bring back Ripe Peach for the spring or something … !

Karen Avatar

Hey Christine the blush ombrè in Azalea blossom is a repromoted product from the Spring Forecast collection I don’t know if the other one is also repromoted…maybe it is XD

Carla Avatar

Ooooh, NOOO!
Why does MAC want to torture me, by hitting me with a collection like this *right after bloomin’ Christmas,* when I’ll be the most broke?
At any rate, Approaching Storm lipstick, and Aurora and Nebulus pigments are mine!
I haven’t bought a pigment in ages, but those two sound like they have my name on them!

Hoang Avatar

OMG Blush Ombres! I also love the sound of Japanese Spring and Borealis Cremesheen Glasses. Maybe one of the Pro Longwear Lip Cremes too.. gotta try one.

Thanks for the collection updates Christine. I really appreciate it 🙂

I was getting interested in makeup again when I noticed pictures online of the first ombre blushes. It was at least a season passed, and there was no way I was going to find them. I was bummed. I was so excited to see that they are being re-released. Looks like I am going to have to sit on the Nordstrom gift card I got for my birthday! The Azalea one is the one I will probably get.

Nikki Avatar

I don’t understand why MAC didn’t re-promote Ripe Peach, as well. It was (and still is) so popular the first time and everyone knows that they’d likely sell out in minutes.

Elizabeth Baker Avatar

These sound incredible but I’ll be bummed if MAC’s prices have gone/are going up this much. I bought a lipstick of their’s for $14 last month – to jump to $17 is too much for struggling artist me in this economy.

Kathleen Avatar

Those aren’t lipsticks, they’re lipcremes, which is a different formula from the regular lipsticks, and always retail for $17, so this isn’t indicative of a price hike, and might not be anyway, as these special collections sometimes cost more because of special packaging or licensing.

Morena Avatar

Its $17 because its a Pro Longwear lipstick and not a regular MAC lipstick – Which made me laugh because I like how MAC chooses to go for a prolongwear instead of creating a regular mac lipstick and only charge $14.50-

And lipglasses run out very fast when worn alone so they;’re not even worth buying, unless its similar in consistency as the Dare toWear lipglasses hat are thicker, last longer and have more product insie.

But lipglasses are actually meant to be worn ontop of the MAC lipsticks if you aven’t noticed that for every MAC lipstickin this collection (and any collection) there’s always a corresponding lipglass shade that goes with it.

They also can use packaging to “justify” pricing. For example the Gareth & Pugh collection. Same formula with less prduct, but you get amazing packaging. Thats the same as buying a pair if $120 heels from Bakers that have lots of cute (cheap) rhinestones on them, but the shoe itself will wear out fast.

Lark Avatar

Girls! Look at the pallet- in no way would Peach Anything work in this pallet design! Pale pinks, lavenders, grays, Azalea Blossom works. Don’t sulk about a product that wouldn’t fit in not being there. Same for Queens Sin. It should have been in Johnny Weir Holiday if just to poke fun at people who can’t handle men in make up. And the color would have tied in nicely.

That said it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a collection where I want Everything! And it’s this, or those Nars buki brushes… Sigh. I’ll be getting a lot of this though.

Gina Avatar

It might not work with this collection, but we can dream, can’t we? 🙂 Plus, I think it would be some welcome warmth against a lot of the cooler toned colors!

Jennifer Avatar

most likely only going to get the azalea blush and a backup of it for me :]
I have to see the eyeshadow quad…but most likely I won’t get it

Amy Avatar

Looks cool, but I’m expecting another dud like their last 10 collections. I don’t even get excited for these anymore, no matter how cool they look.

Gloria Avatar

what is with all this purple MAC is releasing? Its not wearable (in my opinion) and if I needed a purple lip color in a pinch i wouldn’t pay MAC prices for one. Although I do like gradient blush!

Zoe Avatar

Maybe purple is not wearable TO YOU. I, however, like to wear colour, not boring browns. Plus, this is a Daphne Guinness collection, she is also not a boring character.

Kim-Mary Avatar

I disagree. I am a huge purple lover. You can never have enough purples. It’s practically one of the only colors I can wear that never makes me look as if I am either wearing too much makeup or too little. More purples please!

Nat Avatar

Definitely getting Azalea Blossom, Aurora, and Nebula… I’ll have to see the lip colors in person but Approaching Storm and Red Dwarf sound interesting. I wonder what lippy Daphne is wearing in the promo picture; it looks amazing!

Marissa Avatar

I can’t wait to see swatches! I only purchased 2 things from the holiday collection because I really just don’t like most of it, but this looks very interesting. (:

Brian McD aka Roulette Avatar

It’s pretty opaque…When I saw it I was thinking it would be very popular, its not a grey silver at all, very clear. Perfect to use as a base to change with liner and gloss!!

Lisa Avatar

I MUST have Azalia Blossom this time round! But alas I’ll be in work the Thursday it hits the shops 🙁 might have to skip my break to go lol!  and I know it makes no sense, but I’ve got to get Red Dwarf just for the name!! Maybe this lady was a big fan??  just a little side note: I actually can’t wait for it to return!!! Boys from the Dwarffff!!! 
Thanks Christine! You’re the best  xXx

Nikki Avatar

Omg the Azalea Blossom and Vintage Grape look GORGEOUS!!!!!
I have super light skin (a little lighter than Scarlett Johansson), do you think Vintage Grape would look silly on me?? I think it would be too dark, no?

Lark Avatar

How much were you going to slather on?

I’m the color of copier paper and if I only swing one thing from DG it will be that purple-y blush. It’s pink going to purple; not just powdered Violetta. If you can wear violet anything you should be able to wear this. Besides they have a tester in the store; if you hate it the Azalea is awesome and very year round. Get there early…

Reese Avatar

I LOVE the quad, and that must be something because I usually never give them a second look so I’m excited for that! And the pigments! Love the blush ombres, but I have them all when they came out before. They’re so big and last FOREVER, if you didn’t get any last time, make sure to pick them up! 🙂

Keshia Avatar

OMG!!! Thank God they are repromoting Vintage Grape blush ombre!! I didn’t get it in the last collection that it was in and I deeply regretted it. Can’t wait to get my hands on this! YAYYYYY

Courtney Avatar

I’m very excited to pick up Azalea Blossom. Cool toned blushes look lovely on me.

Looking at that eyeshadow quad, my interest is piqued. I love doing rosy smoky eyes. I’ll have to swatch it on first.

I do wonder what lip combo they used in that promo shot though. It looks almost like brick red with gold. Weird. Cool, but weird.

Troian Avatar

I missed out on the blush ombres the first time. I can’t wait to buy both of these blushes. I am also interested in the prolonged wear lipcreams which I have never tried. Loving those purple and pink ones. The quad is a def. Heard a rumor it’s amazing for both color payoff and quality (finally! A quad that has both for the price).

Mariella Avatar

Lots here to love but so much of this collection isn’t new – it’s permanent or it’s a relaunch and to me, that seems a bit of a let-down, to “wrap it up” as a collection when it’s nothing new at all. If things like Azalea Blossom are so coveted, why not just make them permanent???

brittany Avatar

Very berry colors for this collection. I’m definitely feeling the pigment and the two purple cremesheen lipglosses as well as the ombres. I never tried an ombre blush before so it would be exciting to buy one. wow so i actually have something to look forward to!

nana k Avatar

wow love how this collection looks. definitely want those blushes and all of the cremesheen glasses, they’re my fave from MAC! nail lacquers look nice as well 😉

Azaza Avatar

OMG the blush ombres are back. I regretted not getting these two before and I will definitely get them when these come out, if they do come out to the Philippines that is

Judy Avatar

I am super excited about this collection. I am planning on getting Azalea Blossom blush, the eyeshadow quad, Approaching Storm Deep, Seasoned Plum & Red Dwarf Blue prolong wear lipsticks. I really hope the reviews & swatches are great. It would be nice to have good quality payoff for the prices we are paying.

Jenny Avatar

So looking forward to Red Dwarf, both of the blushes, and the pigments! Chritine, wasn’t this collection supposed to have two MSF’s (redhead and blonde maybe?). Correct me if I am wrong. Can’t wait for the reviews 🙂

Louise Avatar

After all those disappointing collections this year I am glad that MAC is finally coming out with some really great and exciting ones aswell!
I want the shadows, the lipglosses, the pigments and the blushers. Haha plus I cant wait for the Naturally (is that its name?) collection for spring! Love iT!

Carrie Avatar

Oh my God!!!! I get paid a few days before this is launched. This is perfect! I wanted to kick myself when I missed out on the Blush Ombres because I wanted Azalea Blossom but this is so much better because so many of these look gorgeous!

Linda Avatar

I’ll take one of everything. This is an amazing collection (in my opinion). Already told the hubby I want a very large Gift Card for x-mas. Its all or nothing. Can’t wait for this one, it will not come soon enough!!

Maddie Avatar

I don’t have a MAC store near me, do you (or anyone) know if I can get the items I want to purchase on hold by calling MAC with the number on the website?

Ashley Avatar

I wonder how similar Aurora is to Pinked Mauve pigment from a few years ago. They look kind of similar. Aurora might look a little more purple. I’m interested to see the swatches of all of the pigments, to see how similar or different they are from other pigments that are either permanent or were previously released.
