Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Launches

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Launches

Intense, seductive, illuminating color. Giorgio Armani introduces Lip Maestro: the next generation of lip color.

A truly luminous matte lip color, Lip Maestro is more radiant than a matte lipstick and more sophisticated than a gloss. A luxurious, velvet texture that glides onto lips for 4-dimensional volume; lips are drenched in long lasting, chic color. Lip Maestro has all the color and sophistication women desire in a matte finish combined with the luminous intensity of a lip lacquer. A formula created exclusively by Giorgio Armani Cosmetics and made possible by a transparent “velvet” gel which diffuses light while providing a luxurious, matte finish for both depth and volume.

Extremely lightweight, the velvet gel rolls onto lips for a no make-up feel. The sensual, non-sticky texture offers hours of hydration and comfort. With its sleek design and soft applicator, Lip Maestro can be applied at any time for lips that are always perfectly finished.

For the first time in Armani, intense color has a no make-up feel. Ultra-light, Lip Maestro fuses with lips for exceptional comfort and wear. Concentrated pigments permeate the gel formula, offering an incredible depth of color. No underlying white “base” means color stays true for a flawless, matte and glowing finish.

Lip Maestro comes in 12 shades, perfect for every skin tone.

I cannot rave about Lip Maestro enough–it’s the most amazing long-lasting lip color I ever tried, incredibly comfortable to wear and truly 8-hour wear! The color Artdeco is beyond beautiful!

That’s exactly what I thought. I love Armani, but as someone who works in marketing, their PR makes me cringe. Of course, maybe they are 4-D and when you where them, you can travel through time. You have to admit, that would make it a shoe-in for the coolest product release this year…

Or Extasy or Dolci for that matter. And LOL@ 4 dimensional lips. I have a “Flatland-with makeup!” going on in my brain now. This is some pretty fanciful marketing talk.

gotta admit, i’m intrigued. xiao at messy wands has swatches, opacity looks similar to my beloved shiseido lacquer rouge. god – my ideal liquid lipstick would be mostly matte but with good shine, long-lasting and not very transfer-resistant. as much as i love my lacquer rouge, it transfers a leeeetle too much for it to be my holy grail. mufe aqua rouge, hourglass opaque rouge, and stila all-day liquid lipstick are all thumbs down for me, they disintegrate in the grossest way when i’m eating. still have to give guerlain extrait a try, and now i also have to try lip maestro 🙂

They only had six available at the Nordstrom I was at last night… but I bought one anyway. I’m a sucker for the red lids and I LOVED the texture. It has that same “smooth but dry” feeling as the Armani Face (& Bluh) Fabric. I would love to check out the clear one (#700 I believe) but I think they’re missing the boat by not including at least one or two good nudes (YSL’s Glossy Stains didn’t have any good nudes either and I thought that was kinda meh…). Still… I want more of these! 🙂

I just found out last week that we may be getting them in our store and I am super excited! I am wondering if it leaves that nasty, filmy line around the inner lip that a lot of the other long wearing liquids do? Hourglass & YSL have the only lipstains that feel good and wear true but they are too sheer 🙁 I hope this is stuff is all it says it is!

I bought four of these, even before the SA had a chance to put them on display. I got 400 (red), 200 (brown), 201 (deep red) and a neutral but pinkish color. Although 400 could arguably be a perfect red, 201 is more my style. 201 is what I call true “oxblood.” Being a jewelry lover, I know what color they attribute “oxblood” to in coral, and it’s a deep deep coral red. 201 is stunning! 200, although it might look 90s brown, really looks like mlbb-deep and I’ve worn it several times. The thing to know about these liquid l/s as opposed to all the other brands out there, they don’t feel like they completely dry down. That’s a good thing IMO, because they others, when they dry, you have to put balm on top or under to feel comfortable. These can be worn as-is. They last well and the color selection is great.

Hi Christine,
I’ll definitely be buying a few of these thanks to you 🙂
I also have several OCC Lip Tars.
Do these compare to them to some extent or are they totally different ?
Thank You for all your reviews.
