Urban Decay Naked Basics Launches
Urban Decay launches Naked Basics–the long-awaited, multi-purpose matte companion to Naked. This is the palette that belongs in every woman’s makeup bag–from fans of a neutral matte eye to color fanatics looking for base shades to pair with their bolder shadows. These uber-wearable shades look great on literally EVERYONE. Richer than other mattes, the color goes on with a smooth, luxe finish (never chalky or powdery). We’ve even included one demi-matte shade, Venus, which has the tiniest touch of satin–perfect for highlighting and adding dimension.

Oooh, neat! I’d personally just use the first four, but overall I think this is a great idea. Can’t wait to see swatches.
Have to get this palette!! I’ve been waiting for a matte eyeshadow palette so long! Wish it comes with more colours tho 🙁
I’ve been waiting for a nice matte eyeshadow palette too! They should had come with the same amount of eyeshadows as the other Naked palettes!

I have both Naked palettes and I think I’ll skip this one. I’m sure there are drugstore dupes out there that are way affordable than this one.
I would definitively change the color W.O.S for another brown, one darker than faint maybe.
I agree; only I’d switch out Foxy, and for a deep taupe (like a matte Mushroom).
I’d like to change the shade Venus to Tease.
I would buy this as the matte colors in the naked palettes are the ones I always wind up using up first. The whole “naked phenomenon” is starting to get old, but this is actually really practical and functional. Well played UD

I only got the naked 1 and loved it, my only drawback was the lack of mattes. this is great! <3
$27 for half of a naked palette, does it come with samples, brushes extra goodies.
The set doesnt have a small brush. Even the container for 6 eyeshadows came with a brush and WOS. Really need a brush to go with it for traveling.
meh. would have liked a better gradient of shades.
love the packaging! please UD make a heap of different versions of this! so practical…compact…travel friendly……just like the old ammo and wallpaper palettes <3

Finally an all matte palette from UD! It should’ve came with a brush or something extra like the other palettes. Will wait for it show up in stores and test it out.
literally just purchased the lorac pro palette that has several matte shades….will be skipping this one!
I am pretty sure I will end up getting this. I have original Naked. I do wish there was one or two medium/deeper shades. Seems like from Faint to Crave there should be at least one in between there.
Holy crap me and my coworkers were JUST saying yesterday how the naked palettes are lacking matte colors! I know what I want for Christmas 🙂

Meh. I have the other naked palettes so I will skip this one. Was not impressed with walk of shame when it came with the customizable palette. Hopefully they will come up with a better color combo.
I was hoping to see Tease in the palette though.

Besides my personal feelings about UD, I would definitely not buy this because the shades are atrocious. I can’t picture anyone darker than Mariah Carey wearing these, they’d look ashy and dry. Too bad too, because matte eyeshadows are my absolute faves.

Can’t wait for this! I have the orignal Naked palette.. while it’s wonderful I’ve been wanting a matte palette and this just might fit the bill!!
Yawwwwwn. I expect much better from UD… The colors seem dull, even allowing for the fact that they’re supposed to be neutral mattes. Pass.
well, Naked & Naked 2 is $60 in Canada (US$50), this naked basic is retail for US$27.
Aside from the interesting matte finish, I’ll pass due to the price tag.
I am a total UD junkie but lately I haven’t been too excited about the choices they’ve been making (getting bought out by l’oreal for one) as a company. Aside from that the lack of midtones makes this palette is pretty underwhelming. I mean come on its a freaking naked palette! It should be awesome. So pass for me. Sticking with my Lorac pro.
I bought the Naked Palette and never used it since I really only wear one lid colour… this one seems perfect for me! All colours I can wear on my lid (except for Crave, of course) that will not go to waste!
I really like the look of this but a couple more mid tones would have worked a treat ,however I cant wait for it to come out in the UK!
Wasin Sephora on Friday and associate said they do not have it yet and nobody else did either? When will it be made available for purchase?
