I didn’t think that MAC could possibly squeeze out even more red l/s’s….and this is how many this fall/winter alone? Although I sure do wish that they WOULD make Damn Glamorous a permanent part of their line! Also, La Vie En Rouge! Those I’m trying to get backups of because I really love them a LOT. There can never be enough red!!! 🙂 I’m looking forward to this collection, but is it just me, or have Mac gotten really bad at telling us what will be in a collection and when to expect it? The Maleficent collection originally included 5 lipsticks (or so the early promos suggested), the Ultimate lipsticks were supposed to be here in the fall, and I can’t find any info through Mac about this collection at all. I think it’s a sign they need to stop putting out three collections a month and just do one collection really well.

The lightest red shadow is gorgeous, tried it at the counter the other day. Can’t wait to pick it up.

Oh, wow. I thought this was one of those mini collections for just the lipsticks but they included eyeshadows, too! I might check out Toxic Tale if it doesn’t sell out before payday 🙂 Do you have a review of that shade, Christine?
I pre ordered some of these. Hopefully you will give this good reviews. I think I am finally over MAC. Seems they keep re-issuing the same products over and over. The matte, red shadow looked pretty and that is what I bought
This is due to hit partnered locations (Macy’s, Dillard’s, Nordstrom’s, etc) on Thursday, December 6th. It’s possible Nordstrom launched it early as a Black Friday/Thanksgiving weekend special.
Macy’s has the collection online already. I don’t know about the physical stores.

Seems like shade descriptions are kind of key to figuring out if we want to buy…totally get that the omission is a MAC PR issue and not a Temptalia issue, though.

My thoughts were “wow, that pillow is cool, I wish I had a shirt with red sparkly mirror bits on it, oh hey, that bracelet’s pretty…and some red lipstick. Meh.”
I love red lipsticks – they are so glamorous.
Red is definitely a color MAC’s range was lacking in. (queue eyeroll haha) 😛 I don’t wear red lippies enough to get into all the reds brands have to offer, but eyeshadows would be more interesting.
I was not excited about the holiday collection. I got most of the lipsticks of the new matte and two of the holiday collection, NO Faux Pas & Salon Rouge, which is a beautiful red. Not crazy about the new launch, the Ultimate Lipsticks. But I am such a lippie and love me some red lips! I will be calling my store in Atlanta to check if they will be having the collection in the store. I would rather make the purchase by seeing it in the store. I usually make repurchases on line. I wish you could have had them swatch before tomorrow’s launch because I know it will be sold out!
We just got the Heirloom and Objects of Affection collections (I think last weekend). I haven’t checked out what all was received in our jurisdiction (as I already picked up the Pigment set I wanted while state-side). But I may have a browse this weekend and ask whether they’ll be getting this collection. I could see myself going for a lipstick.
1. *Blink* What? Red? Why more red? 2. If the pillow is involved.. Yes, please! 3. Why would MAC products be released first at Nordstrom’s vs. MAC? 4. Red is getting shady! 😛 (Must be all that hot and bothered nonsense with the Audacious girls and Boys of TF.. Carnality as propaganda.. *shrugs*

I absolutely despise the Lustre finish and can’t imagine working it into a red lipstick would make me like it any better. Pass.
The quality of the product isn’t always there, but I need to give props to the marketing dept at MAC. Gorgeous pictures, culturally diverse- beautiful.

I bought “Red Alert” cause I can’t pass up anything with copper. Well, except for outrageously priced copper!
But “Give Me Fire” absolutely scared me. And now that oldies song is in my head!
I think “Strike While Haute” is a bit of a rip-off of the red (bulls-eye) in Dior Trafalgar. And that red shade works better with contrasting color, not tonal ones.
