We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Yep I agree. Waiting on Christine!
I’ve usually been happy Makeup Geek, but two colors Sin City and Casino were so disappointing! No color payoff and just not pigmented ๐Ÿ™

Curtain Call, Hype, Early Bird, and Lucky Penny have caught my eye. But I’ll definitely have to see swatches and reviews first. As someone commented above, Makeup Geek has been hit or miss lately so I’ll need swatches at least.

I have to agree with a lot of the ladies here makeup geek has been such hit or miss with me . I bought into the hype and spent hundreds of dollars on their eyeshadows only to find ways to repurpose them (make blushes ,bronzers , highlights , crushing and mixing to make any of the above or giving them to my kids to play with . ) although I was repurposing them it still felt like a waste . Some mattes were so patchy , duochromes had absolute pigment and would disappear and foiled ones would crumble on my lid and would t stick in a uniform way and only looked patchy and would bunch up into thick balls it was the most horrifying thing I couldn’t make these work anyway I tried even spraying fix plus it was gross i don’t know how I watched tutorials and things worked out seamlessly . The only eyeshadow that I can vividly remember loving and falling head over heels for was bitten , bitten was a 10/10 and other shadows I liked a lot yet not as much as bitten but still I enjoyed were creme brรปlรฉe, pretty naked ,chickadee ,country girl and vanilla bean which was pretty good as a brow bone highlight for me . I guess you can sense a scene here I only like warm shadows lol . But these shadows were pretty much across the board all around good shadows in terms of formula and application . So I don’t know if I will try these new shadows I think I have to wait for reviews from real honest people or Christine ๐Ÿ™‚ and definitely not go crazy thinking I must buy all the things ! lol I’ll buy just a few at a time lol Because obviously returning is not much of an option when purchasing from indie type brands online . Although I do love to support I expect a good quality product for my money ๐Ÿ™‚ hope this can help someone ๐Ÿ™‚

I will be waiting for Christine’s review before buying because 1 these are part of the permanent collection and 2 i never got disappointed with purchases that Cristine’s rates as A. A- AND B’s :D. So thanks Christine for saving me money and frustration ๐Ÿ˜€ lots of love these look lovely but i am waiting for the grades they’ll get.

I just bought the 9-shadow signature set. I hope I don’t regret it. As many others have said, MUG has been somewhat hit or miss, but I’d say only in the last year or so. I acquired the vast majority of my shadows (I own 69 “signature”, 9 foiled, and 9 duochromes) a few years ago, and I can say without hesitation that those older ones are by far more consistent quality-wise than the shadows they’ve released in the last year or so. Because I love warm shadows and this new release is right down my alley, I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt, based on what I know in my heart they’re capable of, that they have heard the complaints and are fixing them. We will see – once I receive them in the mail, I will be sure to report back!!
