MAC Spellbinder Collection for Fall 2016
MAC Spellbinder Collection
This is one attraction that’s impossible to resist. M∙A∙C Spellbinder Shadow creates mesmerizing eyes with the deepest, most mysterious shades, clinging to lids like pure velvet. Black, ionized pigments are magnetically charged, fusing the loose powder together so it magically maintains its form and dimension. Hexing hues pull you in, casting their spell in blackened emerald, cobalt and teal, as the metallic finish captivates all that crosses its path.
Online October 13th, in-stores October 20th

Anything described as Taupey Cool Bronze.. I’m in!
My thoughts exactly 🙂
Interesting…
I’ve seen this on ChicProfile and am very curious how it applies. I’m not sure it’s for me however, it’s good to seethe shade range. Look forward to your review, Christine!
These look promising! Hopefully they won’t crease.
Can’t wait to see how these hold up to the claims they are “magnetically charged”. What would that even mean for makeup? I have seen magnetic facemasks, where it makes sense. Hope it isn’t just marketing copy.
Metal X revisited?
I’m intrigued, as I’m all for rich, iridescent shades, but I’d wait to see swatches and reviews before getting too excited about this. Having said that, I really hope Mysterious Influence and Gravity’s Pull will turn out to be really good. Olive greens and rich purples are my favourite colours.
Well these look interesting! Hope it’s not just packaging.
Now THESE colors look stunning! Can’t wait for your review and swatches, Christine.
For a second I thought they were bringing back the Mega Metals! If these are like the Dior fusion shadows I wonder why they embossed the surface.
Oooh, now this is something new! Love the bold rich colors. Hope this magnetic shadow means no fallout. Please swatch and review, thank you !
Oh my, these look beautiful and my wish for more green/purple shades could be coming true! Now if they only swatch/apply well. I am uncertain not just because it is MAC but the description says it fuses to the skin which would make it rather difficult to blend the edges I would think. I will be all in if they review well.
If the formula is like extra dimension they will be excellent. If it’s like most of the other LE-then it will be ordinary. Can’t wait for your review! There’s a few colors that look interesting.
Looks really nice.
So what happens when you mix someone with medical conditions and a post about magnetic eyeshadow? You get someone that visualizes going in for an MRI and having their eye makeup adhered to the inside of the MRI tube before the test is done! Seriously though, I’m intrigued by this. If the technology has something to do with building up what amounts to static holding the shadow together, I wonder how that plays with primer or whether weather has any effect on the pigments.
Gorgeous! They really look like velvet (hopefully they swatch well). I particularly love Cosmic Clash, Blue Karma and Dynamically Charged.
I might be a little nervous putting all this magnetically charged stuff on my eyes. Heck, if I go too close to an iron railing, with the shadow jump off? Having said that, they roped me in with “rich olive golden green” and then further lured me with the taupey cool bronze. Are these in screw top jars?
Dying of curiosity over here trying to figure out what the heck they mean by “magnetically charged!?! Will definitely be interested in seeing how these work in practice!
“soft greyed teal” yes please.
My thoughts exactly. Most grey teals run dusty where these look rich from the promo.
I’m definitely curious as to how these will look over a black base. Blackened metallics are some of my favorite shades ever. The claims of no spillage (magnet in the pan?) or fallout sound interesting, too!
Those shadows definitely seem interesting. I can’t wait for your review!
That olive green sounds interesting!!!!
Magnetic eyeshadow, huh? This should be interesting. It sounds gimmicky, but you never know.
Some of those shadows look like something I want to see in person. Hopefully the stores around my area will get them in this time, not like that Taraji collection which the stores in my area never even got.
The blackened emerald is calling my name!!!!
Will have to google this with makeup chemists and debunker bloggers. Sounds like a crock, but these look black-based. Black-based usually has iron. Iron can be magnetized. But even if it is, so what? I think the ‘magnetized’ is metaphoric, rather than literal. Yeah, Michele, no magnetic shadow in the MRI, and remember to take the polish off one index finger! That was so funny/not funny!
They look interesting. I hope they will perform well.
It seems like it’s been a long time since a MAC ad grabbed me. This one looks promising. Love fall and the return of jewel tones!
Ooh, gorgeous! Will be interested to see how you get on with them!
These sound interesting and the colors look promising. Just hope they have good pigmentation and apply well also.
I can’t wait to see these “magnetically charged” shadows! I read about them a couple of months ago and they sound so interesting. The greyed teal and the cool bronze ones look especially beautiful 🙂
