M∙A∙C Limited Edition celebrates the erotically charged and elegant work of legendary photographer, Helmut Newton. A regular contributor to Vogue and Vanity Fair, Newton is known for his precise, glamorous and empowering photography of women. This limited-edition color collection captures the photographer’s provocative, exquisite taste, dressing wine-stained lips in sultry rogue while darkening eyes in the black and white shades of his signature aesthetic. Nails are lacquered in colors inspired by Monte Carlo and Berlin, two of his homes. A selection of Newton’s most iconic photographs adorns the bespoke packaging – his work remains as distinctive and influential as ever.

IDK, Helmut Newton’s work was interesting, often very controversial, but these colors look so basic. That shadow quad looks like it got recycled from the Brant Brothers collection. And I don’t see any of the ” iconic photographs adorns the bespoke packaging” unless they are talking about the box this came in

LOL, Katherine, I think you are actually right about the Brant Boys (I wonder if that collection was as bit a flop as one would expect, with many folks saying “Who???”). And you’re right about the photo thing – I didn’t even read the blurb but, yeah, where are these “iconic photographs”? Maybe you have to buy the “bespoke packaging” separately (when a company starts bandying the word “bespoke”, it makes me wonder…I mean, come ON – it’s a cardboard box!)

Nothing interesting here. I don’t even care for the campaign photography. I don’t know if it is photo shopped but suspect it has been and the models should sue them for the awkward armpits and necks, LOL. Another easy pass.

Love the look of that eyeshadow quad – totally not something I need as I’ve similar shadows up the wazoo but it has such an artistic/photo shoot “look”. And I’m so glad that the black in it isn’t CARBON!!! Can we have a round of applause in recognition of this, please?

Please, to no one in the Universe in particular, PLEASE don’t let the Helmut makeup collection be in the usual MAC packaging that the promo pics show. I think his work deserves more than MAC saying it’s “MAC x Helmut Newton” as proof that it’s a Helmut collection, rather than taking the time to actually create unique packaging for it. C’mon MAC!
