I would love to buy a Chikuhodo holiday set but not at this price point when there are two brushes (brow & lip) that can be duped at very low prices!
Agree with you.
Interesting choice to use Capra hair. (And by interesting, I mean likely cost-cutting and not great) I’m actually really turned off by that, especially at this price point. I have my Noel Violet set from last year as well as the Sakura set so this is an easy pass but still, VERY beautiful brushes.
These sets are so beautiful! The powder brush in the Vin Rouge set…I wish that was sold separately.
I’m just now replacing my Morphe and RT brushes with Japanese brushes…Chikuhudo is a little too rich for my blood, are they better than Hakuhodo (i.e. better quality, longer life, etc.?) Or are Japanese brushes essentially the same, and the handle material is what makes it more expensive?
The type of hair is usually the bulk of the cost, but the type of handle can also make a difference (see Hakuhodo’s pricing change based on handle alone).
Aaaaaaaaaand beauty gurus came after Kyle’s throat over the price of her set of 16 brushes. I don’t like the Kardashians, but I HAD to point this out.
It is nice looking, but the problem is for beginners it is expensive, but for an artist, it is less pcs contained.
