I want to start off by saying that this is my own personal opinion and I am aware that others may disagree with me. Different opinions make life interesting! 🙂 That said, I am extremely put off by the name “Trophy Wife” and the idea that being a trophy wife is something a woman should strive to be. Put off enough to not buy anything from this collection, even if there was something here that I really wanted. Very hard pass.
Thinking the same thing. Not only is TW not something to aspire to be, the whole connotation is dreadful, an insult, as it makes the woman out to be nothing other than extension of the man. I suppose we are supposed to take it tongue-in-cheek, but dunno. These days women can have women TWs; men can have men TWs. Anything goes, from a gender POV. But from the role POV (comma) it’s a two way exploitative street. in a way, it sounds like prostitution at the worst, and a sellout, at best.
Everything but the lipstick looks like products I’d get some serious use out of! A gold Gloss Bomb? YESSS please! Gold liner? Sure! ?
Wait a sec… I thought Fenty claimed to be cruelty-free? I wonder if the bag is pleather or if it is patent leather. Brassy gold is really trending this holiday season!
I’m almost certain it’s pleather. When Rihanna gives gift bags with purchase on the Fenty website, the bags are pleather. If it was really leather, the price point would be higher since some of the items look full sized. For the whole set, including the loose highlight powder, it’s $69. The loose highlighter is $28 alone and the Killawatt is $34 alone.
I just want the gloss bomb. I already have the highlighter, I only use brown, black, and occasionally green eyeliners, and that lipstick is something I wouldn’t use. The promo is also not that great of a representation of the highlighter. That highlighter is super gold and the promo isn’t really showing that IMO.
I can’t handle these sort of golds/yellows so easy pass for me. Plus, I detest the name of this collection.

Gold certainly is in season here, but the name of the collection is quite off putting. No-one wants to be the TW – in reality or in a makeup collection. Very bad call by the brand.
Interesting to see comments about the shade name here and now. I don’t remember anyone talking about it when Trophy Wife first launched with the rest of the line two years ago. I guess discourse is better late than never!
That aside, I would love a golden Gloss Bomb available separately.

I have this set and love it!! Trophy Wife is gorgeous… the entire set is gorgeous. (and you don’t have to take the name so literal).
I have the entire holiday line…all theres mini lipglosses, the mini liquid lip and its all great! Im loving Fenty more and more
