MAC Viva Glam x Keith Haring Collection
Release Date + About the Launch
Join the VIVA GLAM movement! This year’s celebration of our iconic giveback program honours Keith Haring’s artistic and philanthropic legacy.
Since 1994, M·A·C VIVA GLAM has raised OVER $500,000,000 globally – and counting! Celebrate 27 years of giving back 100% with three special-edition Lipsticks in Keith Haring’s signature primary colour palette. The artistic parallels between Haring and M·A·C are evident: Haring’s inimitable street pop art sprang into the epicentre of New York’s artistic subculture in the 1980s, right when M·A·C launched as the definitive rule-breaking Artistry brand. It’s our communal belief in equal rights and healthy futures for all that forms the most meaningful message for M·A·C VIVA GLAM x Keith Haring.
“As one of the most disruptive beauty campaigns of all time, M·A·C VIVA GLAM set the standard for giving back within the industry thanks to the support of provocative powerhouse talent, our Artists and community,” says John Demsey, Chairman of the M·A·C VIVA GLAM Fund and Executive Group President, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. “For our 27th anniversary, we’re thrilled to honour the late iconic artist Keith Haring and carry forward his mission of using his imagery to drive positive change for those most in need of support. He was a true visionary who used his talent for purpose. While he sadly passed during the height of the epidemic, we are so proud that his iconic art and philanthropy lives on through VIVA GLAM.”
“Keith Haring was a good-natured, astute, symbolist artist who drew with the most minimal lines some of the best assets of human nature – symbols that everyone could read,” says Debbie Harry, former M·A·C Cosmetics VIVA GLAM Ambassador. “His optimism and humour were always there in his lines.”
Three special-edition Lipsticks in Keith Haring’s signature primary colour palette in Matte and Frost finishes come together for this year’s VIVA GLAM collection. Each work of pop art is expressed through Keith Haring’s symbolic street-style imagery. 100% of the selling price of VIVA GLAM Lipstick sold in the US is donated to the M·A·C VIVA GLAM Fund, supporting healthy futures and equal rights for all. When you buy any VIVA GLAM Lipstick, 100% of the selling price goes to support local organizations supporting women and girls, the LGBTQIA+ community and people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Well, I’m gonna need these…
I love the 80’s vibe! I probably won’t get any of the colours but I love seeing this ad.
Beaming Nancy back to her MTV days! The red is all I think I could pull off nowadays, LOL. But, it looks like one super bold red. Great for lifting ones spirits, amiright?
Having a wazoo of reds, think I’ll stick w/the barking dog tee. I wish this was a larger collection, but it is Viva Glam, after all.
Lawd I love K Haring’s art and aesthetic which means I may have to buy one just for the packaging. TBH, I am too ahem *mature* to rock the blue or the yellow but the red could work. And those 80s vibez are hitting me in the feelz. BTW, I believe that all lip products are on discount today but the sale ends at midnight, unless they extend it again like they did once.
Oh, this is a fun one!
I never get caught in this types of launches, but the fact that the lipstick are in the colors of my home country flag… 😀
I love Viva Glam! I try to buy from all of the releases, but I have missed some.
I will probably only get the red, I could never use a yellow lipstick and imagine me looking anything but very sick. The blue isn’t dark or rich enough for me, if I’m to wear blue it has to be dark and super saturated, not that I wear blue, since I moved, I think people here would never get over anyone in blue lipstick. LOL
the description of the yellow as “sheer” broke my spirits, I just need a good opaque yellow. Why can there be all sorts of crazy lipstick colours but not yellow?? It looks mildly strong on the model so I’m keeping my eyes peeled for your review, Christine 🙁
