Hello my Christmas present to myself!
Beautiful, but the greens are not a colour story for me.
I am having trouble understanding why this is a holiday release, it looks like spring all over the place. Pretty succulent-inspired shades tho.
This is so pretty. Unless it reviews awfully, it’s going on my Christmas list.
When I am making my Thanksgiving stuffing and have a hankering for even more sage in my life, this is the palette I would reach for. TBH though I have mini retro and that is good for me, so the big (midi) boy here just really doesn’t inspire me all that much.
The Retro mini was an impulse buy a few years back, and I eventually gave it to my daughter because I hated it. I could not get the colors to go on evenly, and the colors in the pan did not come close to matching the colors on my face. They all pulled warmer or cooler than I expected. Then last year I got a Baby Biba in a Sephora holiday set and the colors are better, but still choppy and difficult to blend. I’m curious about the swatches on this one, but Natasha Denona is unfortunately on my “do not buy” list.
Do I need this? No. But gosh darn are soft pinks and greens a gorgeous combination. 😍
Uh oh… even though I already ordered the SG In Mel’s Memory bundle, I think I would love to get this also! My eye color is a little odd: the look very blue-green unless you are up close and personal, in which case there’s a deeper ocean blue outer iris with the area near the pupil being a scattering of paler sage green, lime-gold and aqua. Overall: I just call ’em blue-green. This palette is SCREAMING my name, 😂
You definitely have a unique eye color and this palette would do them justice, I think.
This doesn’t seem very “holiday-ish” and there seems to be a bit of similarity among several of the colours. I think it’s an easy skip for me.
Oh this is pretty! And unique!
I have mixed feelings about this palette – on one hand I think all the green shades are beautiful and on the other I think that the pinks and cool toned browns are not quite my shades.
The review will tell the quality of this offering though. I hope it is good for all the ND fans out there.
Ditto!
Such soft prettiness!! I wonder how warm they’ll end up skewing overall
I wish Mel Thompson was here to see this launch <3
Thoughts of her, wow, me too!
Yes, from time to time, I am still thinking about her and her lost.
This color story isn’t for me…I have yet to figure out how to wear green or blue eyeshadow in what I see as a flattering way for me, but I am super excited for everyone who wanted THIS instead of the mauve/berry/coral ND retro midi palette that came out awhile back and seemed to have no connection to mini retro color story.
Pretty. But I am curious to see how it compares to mini retro, the pastel palette and glam palette to see whethet I need this
What a beautiful launch! I love the promo pics.
I love this palette as much as I hate it and do have the mini. I was a teenager in the 80’s so seeing this is very nostalgic for me (hello gray and pink clothes and makeup. Anyone?) but I’m not sure if I want an actual redo, even if it will only cost me $69 or so. I never know if I actually look good in these colors or if I look like an extra from The Breakfast Club or Pretty in Pink. I’ll wait for Christine’s review of it before I decide.
I just am not a pink person, but this palette is sooo drawing me! with that green (those greens), I could possibly enjoy the pinks.
Beautiful palette! For me, I can see the opportunity to make a palette with similar eyeshadows and textures that I already have.
That’s not my color story, but I think it’s stunning.
