Formula Overview
$30.00/0.08 oz. - $375.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a matte finish with "12-hour" wear with "one swipe, instant color" that is comfortable to wear and "transfer-proof." I think they've improved upon the longevity compared to the brand's Velvet Matte Lip Pencils of many years ago, as even the lighter shades are long-wearing, but 12-hour wear is a stretch (that's not a surprise, though).
The formula featured a soft setting process where the initial texture was more emollient, creamier, and easy to maneuver with along the curves of the lips, but it set to a lightly tacky finish that was transfer-resistant and remained flexible, so it was comfortable to wear. Most shades wore between five and six hours with a couple of the deeper hues lasting over six hours. It was a non-drying formula to wear over time.
The shades were pigmented in a single layer, and I felt like they were quite easy to use to get a nice, even line of color along the edges of my lips. It was also a more forgiving and flattering finish as it didn't emphasize lip lines or lip texture for the most part.

Lovely shade and I guess a B grade is not that bad. I guess it depends on whether this shade is a must have for you. I am leaving for Seattle tomorrow morning and so I have started my list of things to check out while I am there. Thanks to all who have given me recommendations.
Completely unrelated to this comment but my Chanel blush arrived today. So exciting. I can’t wait to wear it tomorrow. I hope it looks nice on me or I will have blown a significant amount of money. If nothing else, I can just stare at it, LOL! I know that it is a swirled type with a more highlighting shade coupled with a more pink blush shade. My particular one is heavy on the blush and at least on the surface, I don’t see any of the lighter highlighter shade but I did swatch it on my wrist and it looks gorgeous. Thank you to Christine for having reviewed this particular shade and giving it an A rating. Without that I would not have pursued finding it so diligently. I am very happy with it!
Can’t wait for you to wear it!
That’s a really lovely colour – just wish it was a lipstick.
Because it screams “autumn” to me and I’m a huge fan of the OG Queen of days gone by, I’m getting this!
This is absolutely my kind of fall/winter shade. Having said that, I am fairly certain that I own a dupe or two. But if it were in a bullet instead of a pencil, I would definitely be tempted because of the lovely finish.
Beautiful shade, if it was a lipstick i would buy it.
