The 2 eyeshadow palettes shown on the left (in the photo of the 4 palettes) are marginally appealing to me and the US price of $36 is also appealing but neither of those 2 is that unique that I need to possess it and I shudder to think what the inflated price here will be (and I imagine they won’t be available in store, which is another barrier for me).

I like the colours and am vaguely tempted by the Bronze Ecstasy, Lunar Nightshade, and Bordeaux Bliss quints as well as the Starstruck Splendour Mothership, but I’m mystified by the Bridgerton aesthetic for the packaging. I can’t help but wonder what the story is there, if a Bridgerton launch was cancelled due to the strike and re-branded as a holiday collection.

I’ll also add that I was disappointed that there were only things in cardboard packaging. I look forward to the special edition items in her more luxurious lacquer packaging. Oh well. I guess she’s more mainstream than luxury these days.

Well, I don’t know how I feel about this release. I have really been moving away from larger palettes and especially at Pat’s price point. I don’t want to buy any palettes that I cannot use every shade. Having said that, I do like the looks of the Starstruck palette. Is it just the greens calling to me? Maybe. We will see how it goes forward.

I always think it’s a bit of a risk to add blushes to an eyeshadow palette because the blush shades may not suit the wearer and it can also be the quality of the blushes as against the quality of the eyeshadows.
Having said that, I hope the eye palettes are of Pat’s usually high standards.
The blue mascara interests me – I have seen a good blue mascara since Clinique d/c their fabulous one.
These do look interesting and I would have to see them in more detail as to whether or not some or any of them suit me.

I havenโ€™t tried it, but Lancรดme has a dark blue one in their Le 8 Hypnรดse formula.

Lโ€™Orรฉal also has a couple but theyโ€™re bright look-at-me blue, which I donโ€™t really understand when their other shades are dark shades meant to emphasize eyes rather than be big attention-seekers.

Oh wow, these quints! I’m not even hugely into PML (I know, that’s an unpopular opinion) but Lunar Nightshade looks stunning! No pinks and golds ๐Ÿ˜€ I am somewhat interested in Sunset Romance and Bordeaux Bliss, too. I will wait for your swatches and reviews, Christine, and hope that real life swatches will help with the itch, as they usually do ๐Ÿ˜€ I really do not need more eyeshadow, especially any, that are too dramatic/glittery for the office. I will go to one Christmas party max and do not need a new palette for that.

I like the Starstruck palette, but Iโ€™m not buying anything with a shade called Nymphette. Google it, itโ€™s not a subject that needs to be brought into this blog. I donโ€™t know why we let makeup companies get away with shades called nymphette or Lolita. Really gross.

Pearl Avatar

Iโ€™m getting the two larger palettes and the smaller one that looks like it has a gold-ish green metallic on the end. I like the addition of the blush and highlighter in the palette – makes it easier for me and I can use the color as a guide for other variations I may want to wear.
