Oyster Pearl Day-to-night Look

About this Look

This look changes depending on the light and can be worn at work, casually and for an evening event.  It’s such a beautiful taupish, bluish, lavenderish grey smoky eye look.  It you like duochromes and shifting colors, this is for you!  Though I tried to take photos with varying light, it doesn’t capture the subtle foil and bluish hues that you see with indoor and darker lighting.

Step-by-Step Guide

This look wasn't too hard, despite using about six colors via three eyeshadow palettes: KVD's 10-year Anniversary and Edge of Reality (a newer palette) and a small, but memorable ColourPop palette called Makeup Ur Mind. You could use only one under brow color and you don't have to add the glitter color on the outer lid (though it gives it a little pop, especially for evening).

Face - Foundation

Vichy Minéral 89 Fortifying and Plumping Daily Booster serum & Aqualia Thermal day cream 

Sephora Brightening & Hydrating Foundation (Medium 33 Walnut) (a tad too pink for me, but I put a little Marc Jacobs Accomplice concealer in Medium 36 over it).

Marc Jacobs Accomplice concealer with touches of Benefit Boing Brightening (darkest areas) & Estée Lauder Double Wear Sty-in-Place Flawless Wear (outer corners of the eyes) concealers

Eyes

Pat McGrath Dark Matter 001 as a lid base (just a little to serve a grey base)

Inner to mid-lid, KVD Edge of Reality "4-D" (a beautiful light taupe foil metallic )

Mid-lid to outer lid, ColourPop Makeup Ur Mind "BRB" (a mauvish taupe duochrome)

Crease around-above the outer to mid-lid, KVD Edge of Reality "Levels" (a brownish taupe semi-matte)

Blended on-above the outer most of "Levels", KVD 10-year Anniversary "Sarah" (a lavendar grey matte)

Patted on "BRB3-" just a tad bit to the outer corner of lid, KVD 10-year Anniversary "Kelly" (beautiful deep mauve-blue glitter metallic)

Inner corner to blended into "4-D", ColourPop Makeup Ur Mind "Toasted" (silver)

Under outer brow, KVD Edge of Reality "Illusion" (cream beige semi-matte)

Under inner brow to inner corner, KVD 10-year Anniversary "Melanie" (pale peach matte)

Eyeliner, KVD 10-year Anniversary "Adele" (burgundy matte) really worked well!

Face - cheeks

Fenty Kilowatt foil Freestyle Highlighter palette "Scandal'ice" (lavender ice) on top of cheeks and "Heart Burn" (burgundy) to sculpt the cheeks

Lips

Estée Lauder High Gloss in 07 Pearl (a frosty opalescent pink)
